You know music is suppose to make you feel something at the very least and there is no soul or passion in this. Lyrics are as generic as it gets and the beat might as well not even be there because it’s so bland and lifeless. Unfortunate because I’ve heard Huda sing and she’s not bad at all but this gives her nothing to work with Maybe if she had possession of some legit writers and producers I could see her make some noise but this definitely isn’t gonna cut it
K-POP being the lead single had me terrified. Not that the song was inherently bad, Bad Bunny was the highlight of the track. But it gave me the impression that we waited 5 years for some regular, middle of the road, safe trap that we got off birds in the trap and some of ASTROWORLD. But nope, even K-POP is placed nicely on the record and surprisingly doesn’t sound too much different compared to the rest of the album. But it is still the worst track on the record. Yes Jessie, it sure does.
It’s what we knew it was going to be, amazing. Can’t even put in to words how excited I’ve been for this record. And it delivered. Lightning is the weakest track if i was forced to pick one. But that’s not really saying anything. Amazing grooves, cinematic and grand production and vocal layering. Impeccable vocal performances by Jessie. Great songwriting, and just great vibes. She does it again.
