Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To
85

Me and my little brother argue over music all the time, but if I have to listen to the r&b and rap npc slop artists like Tyler the creator and childish gamino, he has to listen to knocked loose and bring me the horizon when I get the aux, it’s only fair, that being said this album is revolutionary. Some people just won’t get it

Charli xcx - BRAT
80

Definitely overhyped not a 100, but still pretty damn good. The problem is that Charli has brought hyper pop to the mainstream, I hate gatekeeping but almost a year after the album release, i already see people trying to replicate in my local scene but way worse.

Kings of Leon - Only By The Night
75

Grab it on CD because I knew the biggest songs off it was impressed by the rest of the album it’s not bad considering I didn’t have hi hopes for it, expected it to be radio songs but it’s pretty solid

Toadies - Rubberneck
70

This is such a fun album, had to pick it up when I saw it at a cd shop now it’s one off in my collection, I shoud definitely check out more of this band because I fairly enjoyed it

Teenage Disaster - CREEP
70

Clearly influenced by lil peep, this album is almost 2 years old and have stood the test of time, as of recent he is releasing more alt rock singles then rap songs but that’s exactly where he shines I love his voice I love the raunchiness and the edge he has. I love everything that this guy has going for him, can’t wait for his sophomore album. Definition of a guilty pleasure artist, but unlike others, I can play this in front of the hoes, might scare them but in a based kinda of ... read more

Lil Peep - LiL PEEP; PART ONE
75

Some of his best work is his debut mixtape, he was so head of his time. Call me cringe but I fuck with lil peep so heavy and to see his older stuff finally hit cd and vinyl is so bittersweet to me

Lil Peep - crybaby
70

Cry baby is lil peep, this is what does it for me, still in rotation to this day long live peep

Lil Peep - HELLBOY
65

Hellboy still geting bumped while rolling up a J on the train tracks, reddropshwaty is atrocious tho

Lil Peep - Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1
65

Not as good as part 2 but genuinely still banging, I don’t listen to much from what I did when I was younger but peep stood the test of time

Lil Peep - Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2 (og version)
75

The og recordings just make it so much better, and bumps it up 5 points form the studio release. The original record of cry alone, has become one of my favorite peep song. Like I said before he was so ahead of his time.

Lil Peep - Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2
70

I had fond fond memories of emo rap, but I have left that in the past due to me getting older and graduating high school, that being said peep is the exception. Unlike juice, trippie and skies. His music age so gracefully and he was definitely way before his time I can only imagine what it would be like if he was around today, I always liked peep cus he lead the emo rap scene, but the thing is that he leaned more into emo and alt rock inspired rather then juice and trippies rap inspired emo ... read more

mgk - Tickets To My Downfall
55

Album is ok at best, I used to listen to it a lot when I was younger, but now I’m 20 and have sex with woman, unfortunately a couple of these songs fall under guilty pleasure territory for me. I’ll still go back to listen to some of these songs, but that’s all it is, guilty pleasure nothing more nothing Less. That being said he seems liked he had a lot of fun making it and was very passionate about it so I’ll give him that.

mgk - mainstream sellout
40

He should’ve done the 1 album, this album is not the worst thing I’ve heard but a lot of it is pretty bad. tickets to my downfall had spirt and has a tiny tiny bit of substance that you can defend, you can tell that he wanted to make tickets to my downfall and had the passion for it, clearly he saw was that it was popular enough to make a sequel. Tbf, tickets was huge and they probably forced him to make this, along side genre:sadboy. But unfortunately ended up as the Ultimate cash ... read more

Trippie Redd - genre : sadboy

First off, I enjoyed some stuff from both of these guys in the past, for starters why is the album cover like that, it’s like they are trying to get called homophobic slurs. The line “4am I’m nodding off, hope it wasn’t fentanyl” genuinely is embarrassing and borderline offensive. The emo rap scene was dying and so was trippies career, mgk had a resurgence in the past few years so im sure trippie redd was begging to make an project with him before they both ... read more

Juice WRLD - Goodbye & Good Riddance
65

This album came out when I was 13, thought it was the shit, I would listen to it, thinking about a girl I liked at school. now that I’ve actually been through relationships, breakups, situationships, and heartbreak, I can tell you that there is so much better break up music out there. not saying he wasn’t talented, he was still incredible, I don’t think it aged that gracefully though, I still know ever word to the song hurt me, it was always my favorite. and songs like armed ... read more

Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
80

Purple is a great album, it reminds of 2 separate vibes; long road trip, and drunken bbq core. Great album to sing to. Give me a beer, cigarette and big empty on que and you have a core memory. leans into a lot of lighter stuff then their last album but still sounds fantastic

Bush - Sixteen Stone
70

I will defend bush for what it is there is so many better bands and albums in this genre but they got a couple of bangers, machinehead was my 12th most listen to song last year and that’s for good reason, glycerine is an all time great karaoke song

Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion
80

A lesser known band of the grunge era but still a worthy contender, only listen to the 1 album but from what I heard I’m excited to dig into more of this band, I nearly lost you has been on rotation quite a bit this week for me

Stone Temple Pilots - Core
85

I love stone temple pilots, their debut is nothing short from extraordinary, have you ever noticed that grunge albums have the best openers? We die young, them bones, smells like teen spirit? Those are all fantastic ways to start and album but nothing hits harder then dead and bloated. Along side songs such as creep, plush and wicked garden, right off the bat stone temple pilots proved there place in the 90s alt/grunge scene, adore there other stuff but I kinda wish they stayed with the heavier ... read more

Pearl Jam - Ten
80

Definitely the least talked about out of the main 5 but Pearl Jam can hold their own, didn’t get into them until much later compared to the others and that’s really unfortunate, they are fantastic nothing proves that more then there debut, I find myself humming the riff at the end of black more often then I should
