Earl Sweatshirts “Doris” will always be one of my favorite rap albums, just like Mac Miller's “Faces” or Eminem’s “MMLP"
because it helped me get introduced to the genre and, beyond that, enjoy it. This great produced album has it all.
a unique sound with great sampling, production, and fitting features,
some deep and personal lyrics from both artists, a great concept behind it, no filler tracks, and on top of that, a gorgeous album cover.
After my second listen
I found myself in a bizarre situation between liking half and disliking half of this album.
The dreamy, incomprehensible sound on some tracks feels extremely fitting, melodic and qualitative.
While it annoys me on other tracks how off and disrupted the whole song feels
I definitely understand the point of most of these highly positive reviews, because “when you sleep” and “sometimes” definitely belong to my favorite songs ... read more
„Sunburn“ consists of some really remarkable catchy summer tracks on the first side that have been stuck in my head for a while. On the other side, this slightly long-running record has forgettable tracks even after repeatedly listening to them, they fade away like water in the hot weather, these songs are written for.

A perfect piece of art
Even with only 5 songs, „Wish You Were Here“ by Pink Floyd is a truly outstanding musical experience from an era when people used to actually take their time listening to music, it seems.
Imagine releasing a 12-minute song in the current TikTok song era.
The created sound feels unique and far beyond its time, what even holds up today
