Everything Now and Put Your Money On Me are great songs, classic Arcade Fire but the rest of the album is just a bit mid. No idea why they made 2 Infinite Contents, neither were any good. Creature Comfort is decent and I love Regine's vocals on this album but overall very mid
Average album all things considered. Yellow is a beautiful song and Don't Panic is decent but the rest of the album was not up to scratch!
Classic album with some truly iconic songs, falls off at the end but as a whole, but there's a reason everyone knows songs like naive and She Moves in her own way!
Amazing and beautiful songs and the album flows so well, definitely at its best when listening to from start to finish but overall a perfect album!
Franz Ferdinands return was mostly forgettable, Audacious and Night or Day are the only songs here worth a listen and I'm happy to hear the evolution of their music has moved on from the magic of the 2000 but this album overall misses the mark at points, not great but not bad, very middle of the road
Horrible AI album cover, Julian definitely could have afforded to pay a real artist to create the album. That aside, 7 Horses is the only song on this album worth listening to, maybe Prophecy of the Dragon or Flexorcist on a good day, overall lackluster and uninspired. Makes me scared for future releases
Past - Threat of Joy, a brilliant ode to their past sound of Is This It and Room on Fire, very nostalgic song and proves that the Strokes still have it.
Present - Oblivius, a great continuation of Comedown Machine, an album I thoroughly enjoyed, a fun song that perfectly indicated where the strokes were upon release of this EP.
Future - Unfortunately, Drag Queen is where the EP faulters. Bands are often bad at predicting the future of their music and this is no different, especially since ... read more
Great album with some brilliant tracks on, even the low points don't take you out of the album too much
Great album with some truly beautiful songs on, it's a shame the band don't feel as fond about this album as the rest of us do!
Good tracks and tunes, nothing that stands out as exceptional but great foundations for a band that can go on to achieve great things!
Great album but I can't get over Greeps singing, it sounds like a musical and I'm not entirely enticed by it. But musically it is brilliant, that intro of Holy, Holy is one of the greatest openers of all time!
Brilliant album, every song sounds ethereal, 53 minutes of absolute bliss
They have managed to put out a better album in the 6 months after Symphony in the Sky than the 4 year period between projects before! Wait & See is a brilliant single to grab peoples attention before the 2nd album of the year and it consistently delivers!
I was a little disappointed when the first album these guys dropped in 4 years half contained songs pre-released a couple of years ago! Nonetheless, it's a fun album in places and the singles released before still hold up. My favourites are Stay Golden, Hold My Place In Heaven, Everyone's a Guru, Fine Wine and A Bluer Blue
Good Indie-pop album! The sound Saint Motel is known for, a few songs on the album don't meet up to scratch but Sweet Talk, Born Again, For Elise and Move show how good this album and band are!
The highs are high and the lows are low, some of my favourite Saint Motel songs on here with A Good Song Never Dies and It's all Happening but No Cares sounds lazy and unoriginal and while Saint Motel are often at their best leaning into the cheesy lyrics, a lot of these songs miss the mark completely. Overall, I still enjoy a lot of songs on the album and, possibly unpopularly, I enjoy Slow Dance but songs like Origami and The Moment bring the listening experience down a bit too much
The star of Saint Motels change in sound and a good bench mark for their future projects, it seems they are at their most prolific with EPs and My Type and Cold Cold Man are two brilliant indie pop songs
This EP deserves so much more love than it gets, feeling a bit lost in the modern Saint Motel catalogue but it has some of the most memorable riffs and lyrics to date, butch, do everything now, dear dictator, to my enemies have all been on repeat for ages
Brilliant indie rock record, great riffs with some songs carrying heavy themes, like 1997, while others are a lot more playful and fun like Puzzle Pieces!
