why was this actually such a peak listen bro, who knew the big snaresman's debut would be this good? Very impressive sampling and chopping. Fav track: Punk Kids Out There, the news samples (I think?) were very cool and I very much liked the breaks and gabber kicks. Overall, just a fun ass listen and a very good debut.
the jungle/breakcore tracks were great, but oh my were the ambient tracks unnecessary
they should rename yo gabba gabba into yo gabber gaber that would be funny i think
Madlads go CRAZY on trackers (too bad they're a*stralian though)
this album sounds just like the cover: empty, desolate, bleak and hopeless. It feels like being the last person alive after some kind of nuclear war, watching all of the carnage. The percussions are also back, but much more in the background now. It makes the album very eerie. I like!
Super comforting stuff. I really like this one, the nature recordings make it so comforting and the guitars are beautiful. Shows that bull of heaven are capable of writing other things than creepy drones. I like this release a lot!
Spooky shi. Lowkey very cool though. A very, VERY repetitive album with a single metallic percussion instrument, plus what seems like pitched down and reversed radio samples. Towards the end, the percussion starts to break down and become more washy and ambient. Very cool release!!
much more gritty than the releases beforehand, with a pretty cool noise rock section too. I like!!
john zorn is actually a madman bro. I have yet to hear something bad made by him (and something that isn't absolutely fucking nuts)
idk what i was expecting, but this was actually very cool. Definitely gonna look more into heavy psych.
