Probably the greatest industrial album of all time. How is it not even ranked in the all-time list on this site?

JAY-Z - The Blueprint

Girls, Girls, Girls is maybe the starkest contrast I've ever seen between quality of a beat and quality of lyrics on a rap song.

WTF is that shit about an "Indian squaw"?

Aside from that this album's pretty sick for the most part, even if I think it's just a little overrated.

Lil Wayne - No Ceilings

This one's not quite as good as I remembered, but the high points are arguably Wayne's peak as far as rapping goes. No Ceilings isn't as consistent as Drought 3 (or arguably Dedication 2) and the low points are pretty sleepy to be frank (Wayne On Me is boring and cringey, I Got No Ceilings is literally just the original Black Eyed Peas song, and I'm Single is just too slow). However, this and Section.80 are the only Kendrick albums that have multiple tracks I straight up don't like (Mr. Morale and GNX have but one ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

I don't really know what I can say here, given that this is the highest rated album of all time on this site at the time of writing.

I think it would be a waste of time to get bogged down in breaking down the concepts and whatnot behind the record, simply because other people can do that better than I can, and that's not what's most important to me about this album, although it is certainly a part of what makes it so special.

What's most impressive to me about To Pimp a ... read more
