ROSALÍA - Berghain

Well, what can I say, the song started dramatically with some potential just to end abruptly. I respect the experimentation, though 👌

Charli xcx - BRAT

That awful 100 gecs "album" made me appreciate Charli XCX more.....

100 gecs - 1000 gecs

"Experimental" and "weird" music for edgy wannabe corny people...they just put the distortion and drive filters to the maximum and called it a day...this type of production is actually very easy to make. The vocals are the most annoying part, it reminds me of Madonna's experimental era with vocoder effects (examples: Impressive Instant, Nobody's Perfect, Die Another Day) but they're actually enjoyable or at least listenable!

Perfect golden hour breezy autum vibes 🌇🍂🍁, I didn't know just simple clean minimalistic ASMR-like guitar production could sound timeless and fresh

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love

Revisited a year later...and it grew on me so much!!!!

Radiohead - Kid A

The beautiful production is the only thing that is truly ahead of its time, but Yorke's moany whining voice was so annoying it ruined the chill calming ambient experience. "How to dissappear completely" is a great song, nevertheless, pretentious music at its best.

Madonna - Music

The sounds are dated but also so ahead of its time....LOVE IT

Britney Spears - Blackout

Danja > Timbaland

Lana Del Rey - Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant

The obvious low budget production is what makes this piece of expression atmospheric and authentic, the girl with a big dream, cosplaying herself as her favorite icons in the old rusty white trash trailer park ...living hopelessly hopeful. Sure, she might be faking some of it and playing a persona to be "not like the others"...but, you cannot deny the fact that she absolutely nails that feeling in this record. This was just the beginning!

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven!
80

Very simple and repetitive, yet somehow absolutely eargasmic, hits the (E)ar spot 👌

Jungle - Jungle
60

Objectively okay...but repetitive on the excuse of being cohesive

Fav: Lucky I Got What I Want

Solar Fields - Mirror's Edge
100

“You can’t live on the edge all your life Faith, sooner or later, you’ll have to jump”

Björk - Post

Expected it to be more experimental, but I guess for its time it was!

Fav tracks: You've been flirting again, It's Oh So Quiet, Enjoy, Possibly Maybe, Isobel

"@redsnapper2 So you don't disagree that it is a Tiktok brainrot? Great. Some repetitive moments? It reheats and reshits the same corn nachos throughout the whole album. Some people praise AI slops it doesn't make them good."

"@redsnapper2 Literally everything about it is a failed Tiktok brainrot project, even Cupcakke does a better job"
On Jane Remover - Revengeseekerz
"@redsnapper2 There's corny music in every genre, some of them listen to metal, some of them listen to 100 gecs (they're worse than Jane Remover but still) type like hyperpop albums. There's one thing that connects it to the coworker's diet, and it is the corn🌽 , hope that helps."

On King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
"@casey678 The Beach Boys are psychedelic surf rock and they're much more progressive with their sound, the tempo changes, the tonal shifts, modulations, dynamic beat patterns all of it gave the birth to prog-rock which took so mamy things from Psychedelic rock. The same with the Beatles, not every song but specifics songs have noticeable and sometimes even jarring changes. I'm not even going to start talking about Frank Zappa or The Moody Blues, cause at this point it is very obvious. This album however, just stays around the same instrumentation...just prolonged, it is hardly even progressive. Just get in to music production, you will realize how most of the albums this site rates highly is just basic music from the past."
On Chav's review of Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising
"Exactly, just basic 70s music"
On finnbobos's review of Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
"Literally check her Dead Petz album, it's her first and her best experimental album"
