Replicant - Infinite Mortality

Some amazing death metal mixed in with deathcore. kind of match made in heaven for me since those are some of my fav genres. Metal album of the year contender for sure.

some solid tracks but this album is plagued by shitty politics and demented song writing. Saying contreversial things just to say it and get a reaction. We know and he knows he can do better.

Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT

Charli xcx - BRAT

charli the goat fr huh? This album has really grown me since it released. Not because of all the praise online but the genuine enjoyment of it. I was introduced to Charli back in 2020 with her COVID album how am i feeling now. I honestly loved it so much. So fun but serious at the same time. Then after going back and listening to her Vroom Vroom EP and her ST. After that I became a Charli fan. Her music is so engaging and fun but adds meaning to make it more replayable. This one maybe her best ... read more

Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To

A hard hitting metalcore album. Suffocate maybe my song of the year....
Knocked loose made metalcore great again.

Zach Bryan - The Great American Bar Scene

I don't know he outdid himself from his S/T. A ton of great songs that grab your heart and make you think. I typically don't listen to country in my leisure time but this album is great for so many reasons. Killer production, especially on 28. Maybe be ZB's best song yet. To his best vocal performance that I have heard so far.
Some issues that arise to me that I think ZB has had a problem with on multiple releases especially on his 2022 release is the bloat. I feel the album ... read more

Lupe Fiasco - Samurai

I havent got into lupe until this album fully and I am glad I gave him a shot. He maybe one of the most intresting and unique voices in hip hop that i have ever heard. With catchy and more accessible songs like cake to more introspective and intricate tracks like til enternity. Lupe does not fail to give amazing bars, production, and flows. Just shows how well he has blossomed since his inception.
Also the concept is quite compelling after finding out what it is about.

Opeth - Blackwater Park

An album with a perfect mix between beautiful progressive rock and crushing death metal. Song lengths dont matter on this album. Every song flows so well the length feels way shorter than it shows. Great album.

Opeth - Ghost Reveries

Progressive death metal may be my fav in terms of metal sub genres. Intricate song structures, different time sigs, and pummeling growls all infused with it. I love it so much. This album embodies that and it does it with flying colors. Mikael growls impress me with how consistent and powerful they are. Also, when you observe the band do Ghost of Perdition live he does those growls with seemingly no effort. As someone who likes to dive into death metal vocals. That is very impressive. His chest ... read more
