Now I don't think I've ever said this about anything before but the problem with this album is that it's normal
I think I speak for everyone when I say, "take Soulja's 'Save That Shit' feature off of all streaming services."
I dig a lot of songs on this project, one of the biggest problems I have with this project though, is the production. For example, the baby-like background vocals, “I'm da man” sounds like it's being played on a phone underneath a pillow, and then some instances of awkward flows or delivery. Though, like I said, this tape has some heaters.
This is much better, not amazing tho it's just kinda ok, but I can't stress enough how much it annoys me when a band releases the closer as a single.
I don’t get it, I’ve tried getting into Gorillaz but I just can’t seem to do so.
Reminds me of a tweet that said “cats would love cigarettes”
So like, why is this rated so low? Like, sure it’s got a dip in quality, but it’s still got some heaters
(92->87) I hyped it up to a 92, a bit excessive from me lol it’s good and underrated, but there’s some soulless sounding songs in here
Other than the final song being somewhat decent, the rest has better production than their previous stuff but that doesn’t mean their fake writing and lackluster performances have improved or changed. Definitely best thing they’ve done tho, some aspects brought me back to when I was a fan of AJR.
I bought a thesaurus today,
this album is generic, its broad, so very blanket, so so universal. I can't even believe how inclusive and nonspecific this project is its so globally extensive.
This has some great songs but I personally think it gets annoying, also the writing gets quite mediocre and pretty disinteresting for me.
No, you are not🙏😭💔
I cannot tell you how old I feel listening to this, I feel like I just drank out the wrong chalice at the end of Indiana Jones.
I think he brings either extremely obnoxious experimental approaches or some somewhat interesting approaches here. Like I love experimental rap, but here it gets annoying, formulaic, and repetitive with only a couple of good shining standouts.
I found the CD to this album for free in a record store so obviously I got it, along with a Lightning Bolt and a Charles Mingus CD.
I don’t know if I’m thinking it’s not horrible because I was expecting it to be atrocious, it’s for sure not the worst metal album I’ve heard. That doesn’t mean it’s good tho, like I’ll say I think the main growling vocals are pretty decent but the singing that gets introduced is pretty basic. Like none of it is badly ... read more
Here I'll atleast do Drake a favor and give him something thats 18
