This album is the first of the summer where I have been blown away whilst listening to it. I had already enjoyed Exotica and was incredibly in love with Lightenup, Tape, and Tieduprightnow. The transition from Comedown to Lightenup is beautiful; Lightenup seems like a great extension of an introduction song. Slight Get Lucky by Daft Punk vibes received from Lightenup. The long instrumental in Tape beginning at 2:22 is amazing, especially the latter half beginning at 2:51. Parcels is ... read more

I appreciate the new sounds Odesza incorporates into this album, but after re-listening to this album, I have realized that there are more forgettable tracks than I had previously remembered such as Just A Memory, Divide, Thin Floors And Tall Ceilings, and Show Me - none of these songs are necessarily bad in my opinion, but it doesn't feel like anything happens on these tracks. I've played this album many times in the past and I always hope that more songs stick with me after ... read more

It seems like every time I play this album, it is as if I find another song to love. Shortly, I'm sure that I will love (8) every single song on this album. This is a perfect Summer album for me. You better not be around me when I play Fake Happy because I will surely sing it at the top of my lungs. No Friend is unpleasant.

I'm not very into the ending of 745 sticky. I Need Help Immediately and gecgecgec are kind of cool but forgettable; I forgot that I was listening to the album when they played. I absolutely love the 1st, 3rd, and 4th parts of xXXi_wud_nvrstøp_ÜXXx. The phone buzz in gec 2 Ü pretty cool and interesting.

The bass/buzz in Tennis Court's chorus is awesome; it makes the song feel big and imposing and its pairing with Lorde's vocals is very good. In Ribs, I love the smacking sound beginning at 1:20. In Team, I love when the base kicks in at 0:26.

8: 400 Lux, Royals
7: Ribs, White Teeth Teens
6: Buzzcut Season, Glory And Gore, A World Alone
5: Still Sane
I've always loved the strength in Sameer's voice which is displayed in a song such as Silvertongue on Home of the Strange. In this album, I feel like YTG veers into an undesirable path that is much more falsetto-heavy than previous albums, especially Call Me Back. Heat of the Summer may have been a 10 for me if Sameer used his strong voice in the chorus, especially since the song is so upbeat.
