this is the first album ive heard from car seat headrest and they've already got me fucking hooked right from the get go. it took me quite a while to actually get car seat headrest to click with me since i've tried listening to twin fantasy 2018 but didn't understand it so i was left unimpressed. but NOW! i am excited to go back to twin fantasy to see if my perspective has changed about it. loved loved loved this entire record front to back, no duds at all. planet desperation ... read more
skrillex recess is one of my biggest guilty pleasure, mostly because back then i used to fuck with dubstep and the edm scene so hard. but now, my dubstep phase has been completely phased out but i dont mind going back for a song here and there, and this album is no exception. im glad to see that my dubstep phase hasnt really disappeared completely since how much i fw every song, especially all is fair and try it out. most of my bias is completely based off nostalgia but its whatever, its a ... read more

loving the hell out of this record, some tracks are too short to live up to its fullest potential but skrillex going back to his roots is something i never expected and im glad it came out well.
holy moly this record was a blast listening to. if you dont at least move to like two of the songs then youre listening to it wrong. some songs such as ululation and sink or swim lose direction as the songs progress but i am able to ignore that flaw because this is such an enjoyable record. im excited on what young fathers would do next
its a shame that i thought i would like this a lot but i find it boring than fun despite so much going on. i think its the point where its too much that makes my reaction so little, it becomes background noise at this point. the last half of the album is much more better than the first half but im sad to say that most of the album is forgettable
i really had doubts for this record after the news of isaac wood the main vocalist departing from the band. i only know bcnr because of how unique isaac was so i was worried that the new album without isaac would be a half-assed watered down bcnr album. but thankfully it wasn't, its more like an open door to something new and im excited for it.
death grips more milder releases in their catalogs, but thankfully the highs in this album really do pop out. the only thing that holds this back is its repetition and overall just feels a lot weaker than their previous projects.
listened to this so much and i still somehow end up in awe with how much shit is going on in this record, and in a good way. this album deserves its cult status its amazing. some tracks feel a little too much and sort of ruins the pace but i like it overall
5 years for a good album? uhhhh. sure i guess. im surprised that i enjoyed this music than i expected since i am not into rage at all. i listened to die lit and whole lotta red before listening to this and i gotta say, die lit grew on me a ton and i went in wlr blindly and i enjoyed it as well. same result for i am music. i like it but it did not need to be 30 tracks. and to wait 5 years with so much delays and backlash carti got was not worth it
its a paris texas ep but they dont dive in the rap rock sound that much and into more diverse territory which i sorta like? i dont know its a good ep but maybe because i am more used to the rap rock sound that hearing them in a trap beat with less frequent hard hitting drums and guitars kind of puts me off a bit. i still like the ep though, but the second ep of this series is much more better than this.
yep paris texas is back at it again with their energetic rap rock style but trying out new sounds with it. i do prefer more of midair because of its more energetic and playful sound than some of the energetic songs here since it sounds more held back but i can get used to it because... its fucking paris texas whats not to love about them
slept on this album for too long, mostly bc of how overplayed television / so far so good was on tiktok that it sorta alienated the other songs. its not surprising to say that this is an insane sophomore album for rex, with how beautiful the production is and how personal the songwriting is. im kinda sad that rex didn't keep up or at least pushed further with this gorgeous production and songwriting for his other albums but i can ignore that bc i enjoy his other albums as well. this album ... read more
7 tracks of full bliss without a single dud. kanye being openly emotional and vulnerable, lit up on the spotlight is when kanye is at his best.
edit: this is kanyes best album despite being the shortest
i never expected to enjoy a country record of all sorts but i do understand the hype behind the record (more of the critics hype than users but its whatever). mj lenderman sounds like a likeable and understandable guy with nothing to prove except to make music for the sake of making music, and thats what brings the album up for me. it just feels like something to relax to on the radio, while rocking back on a rocking chair looking at the sunset from the field, its comfortable.
holy crap underscores is just unstoppable. even with the intriguing cctv track, i still want MORE! im super excited on where she'll go for her next album
i have so many memories with this album during quarantine that im kinda biased about that but who gaf. this album is still great despite my bias
nobody surprised by how good this album is so im not even gonna bother write an extra sentence or two. its known fact that this albums hella good
even though ive listened to this probably 20 times, i still cant get over on how amazing and crazy this project was. im so glad that i got into this and got into underscores because god damn, was i missing out. i dont really get the story of the album behind it but i can ignore the confusing story and just focus on how good each song was.
