almighty classic from mac demarco. some songs drag a tad bit long but overall its an enjoyable experience
every track is just "turn off your brain and enjoy the flow" type music and im all for it. these instrumentals are so nice and lush without leaving me bored, this is actually make me wanting more of this from mac since his instrumentals are really pretty.
its not bad, its actually pretty good! i just hope that kevin can find more interesting sounds and ideas for his next album if he ventures to another rock style again. most of the songs here sound so barebones and empty
i wanted to enjoy this album but it is so freaking boring. most of the songs is just loops daft punk came up with and just built the songs off that. a couple of songs had some interesting loops that kept my interest but most of the album is such a drab to listen to.
after understanding the reason about the phone ringing at the end of the album (a friend is trying to call mac on the day he overdosed, so the phone just keeps on ringing and ringing until it fades away), it just automatically brings this album up by 10 points. thank you mac and his family for this incredible posthumous album
i wouldnt say that i hate this album but god damn. WHAT HAPPENED????? frank had a good thing going on the fall but how did this happen? this album isn't terrible though, half of the album is pretty good or ok (yes, even i want to see the world, its a guilty pleasure) but the other half is a SLOGGGGG to get by. hearing frank ramble while slow acoustic guitar plays is not my cup of tea, i find this album ok.
yep. i find this album to be one of the best albums ive ever heard in a good while despite it being goofy and hobo johnson not being a good vocalist. i find both of these values to be the charming aspects of this album, i just want to see hobo johnson win as i listen to the album. hes vulnerable, relatable and overall sounds like a good genuine guy. lets not forget the music too, its crazy how consistent this album is, i can NOT get tired of it. even the spoken word you and the cockroach is ... read more
tylers most overhated piece of work, but i see this as his most important album. he goes a complete 180 from wolf, goblin and bastard and more of a neo-soul approach while having some abrasive cuts here and there. its a promising effort back when this was released but seeing the mixed results doesnt surprise me, no one expected this or at least to this extent. as this album ages, for me, it aged greatly while others seeing it as spoiled milk. idk maybe its just me, but i love this album
This album is overrated but I still love it entirely. is it his BEST album of all time? no. but was this album important for tyler himself and his career? hell yeah. this album is a complete 180 from tylers past albums, seeking out more of an emotional and personal sound and lyrics while not losing himself in the process. i love this album, but its not my favorite...
tyler's weakest album in the 4 album run but this album is nothing to scoff at. i see this album as a fully realized cherry bomb, but less abrasive and more emotional songs from tyler. some emotional songs feel a bit dragged on but i can still appreciate that tyler is still pouring his heart out, even if it overstays its welcome. on the other hand, the abrasive songs is just like cherry bomb but more better. my least favorite tyler album from his 4 album run but still an excellent effort, ... read more
its crazy how consistent this debut album is. we all know earl sweatshirt is a one of a kind rapper so we all know that his first album would be great, but i never expected it to be this great. its just enjoyable to listen to.
yeppp no surprise on why this album is so fucking iconic to everyone. kanye being able to bounce back from one of his most infamous events of all time and release a GEM is why he is an icon, ignoring everything else he did recently
same reason on why i like pony as well, every song is so freaking CATCHY. although not as catchy as pony though but i can still remember 90% of the albums melodies and that's a good feat enough.
the main reason i like this entire album is bc of how CATCHY every single song is. tons of replay ability in each song and i like rex orange county as a person in general lol. it sure is a downgrade from apricot especially with the production and songwriting being more simplier, but i still like it enough.
its a shame that this is IMO the final "ACTUAL" album with the boys being together and making a good album. that being said, the bh boys know how to make a hit. my biggest pro for this album is that its crazy consistent and how balanced everyone is. hella good album
VERY VERY VERY OVERHATED. sure, with the title called The Family youd expect to see everybody but in reality its a kevin abstract solo project. does that ruin my experience? HELL NO. i love kevin abstract so of course im gonna be positive about this, call me biased i dont care. some underwhelming tracks here and there such as (Back From The) Road but damn this is a very good album.
my favorite brockhampton record of all time. flawless front to back no complaints whatsoever! not to mention my favorite records of ALL TIME. i wish i havent slept on them for so long and only begun listening to them months prior to them breaking up :(
