gut-wrenching, heart breaking, devastating, visceral.
these are all adequate terms to describe the emotions this album evokes, but there's so much more. this is another strong album from one of the post-rock genre's best groups.
and of course, Free Palestine π
change of pace from Tyler's usual production choices. i think it's still quite good.
little surface level at first? but that bridge is amazing and by the end of the song I feel like this is one of those grower songs.
the outro song kinda brings down a score a little, it's just a little TOO repetitive and long for what it is. the other 4 songs are amazing though.
Very sad he has to resort to saying outlandish shit in his songs to grab attention. If it works, it works I guess. There's also just way too many cringe bars and the production is super generic. 8 songs and the album is only 15 minutes. Eric's career won't be lasting long pulling stunts like this.

Edit: Ok, I just watched the music video for this and it's so good. I have a feeling this song will grow on me with repeat listens.
it could've been so good, but the chorus is just too basic for me. I was also wondering why I was getting Ariana vibes off this, but the song is literally produced by ILYA who is a close collaborator of Ari's. She was definitely doing her Ariana impression on that pre-chorus though, and I don't hate it.
