Kanye debuts his career with an amazing LP. The stories in the story of an album are told so well with lots of twists and turns. The production which has me audibly ascending is perfected and tweaked to the finest detail. A great way to kick off Kanye’s career (outside of “The New Workout Plan”).

Kanye is back with his 5th studio album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”. Regardless of what I say in this review, it doesn’t take away from what this album does in terms of its impact on culture and just the place this holds in people’s hearts. The album features insanely diverse but yet unified production. Kanye’s performance is amazing about 8 songs in, but sadly falters from there on. Runaway felt very lackluster for the amount of time we’re given to ... read more
After a 5 year hiatus, Kendrick Lamar hits us with another modern classic. The production is so unorthodox, especially highlighted in the drums throughout. Kendrick is still at the bar he’s set for himself when it comes to lyrical technicality. The experimentation on the vocals that didn’t work for “DAMN.” pan out beautifully here. Kendrick delivers another masterclass making for an amazing experience.

Kendrick takes a bit of a nose dive with “DAMN.”. The album displays Kendrick rapping just as good as ever but some of these questionable vocal deliveries can’t help but lower this album’s score. The story is great and the closer brings it all together so perfectly. Amazing album at the end of the day.

I have no words. Greatest storytelling album ever. To say this is a masterpiece is a disservice to this beautifully put together project. Kendrick proves why he’s the goat time and time again. “good kid. m.A.A.d city” goes to show that even as his second best album he can create a top 15 album ever.

After dropping average after average album, Drake somewhat bounces back with the surprise demo project “Dark Lane Demo Tapes”. The album had some lower quality songs, but that’s what you get from demos. The album was concise and we got some classic Drake songs. Overall good listen, just some touch ups would be nice.

Drake delivers his worst album. There are amazing cornerstone songs for Drake and just rap in general. But I’m not going to pretend that this album is full of snoozers. Drake, if you can do this, go ahead and take it down streaming platforms and release the five best songs as singles. Terrible album.

Drake and Future join forces in “What A Time To Be Alive”. They put together for some true bangers but a lot of this Tracklist felt decent. I came away from this feeling so so. They have way better music together outside of this album, that I can’t help but feel disappointed.

Just when I thought Drake would bounce back he comes out with this “playlist”. If we want to drop playlists let’s not make them into official albums. There’s 0 direction and almost 0 effort out into the order of tracks. I don’t even understand what this is solupposed to revolve around. Not good

Drake deliver yet again… a mediocre project. Any surprise? Can we please get back to 2012-2015 Drake please??? Were there great tracks throughout yes? But it was so messy and there were some absolute stinkers in here as well. From the beginning I don’t know where we are going and neither does Drake. We’re just aimlessly wandering. We can only pray Drake can somehow recover.l next album. Drake really has a generational amount of average albums.

A solid trap album with lots of fun Ana animated back and forth mess from both Drake and 21 Savage. Both complimenting each other well this makes for a good collaborative trap tape. Outside of “Middle Of The Ocean” and “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” both artists are at their worst on solo tracks. Their best is when they play off of each other. A great album and fun listen.

Drake immediately follows a great album with his one of his worst albums to date. The melodies felt made up on the spot. The production choices were questionable at times and the autotune was so painfully mixed and poorly executed it felt like a college kid making an “experimental” album. Drake can do better. What was this? I’m bored, sleepy, and regretful of my decision to listen to this completely mediocre and dull album. Next.

Drake finally breaks the streak of mediocre albums with this project that brings all of his strong suits to life. With fun songs dispersed throughout it makes for an enjoyable experience. Some songs did feel unneeded. If you cut 5-6 of these, this would arguably top 3 in his discography. Although the overall this is a great listen.

Drake pushes his sound for the better in this mixture of both melancholy vocals and hungry rapping. His maturity and growth is on full display as we get his first truly stunning project as an artist. Drake takes a significant leap in his sophomore album in “Thank Me Later”. The rapping is a lot more focused. The features aren’t ruining songs. In fact the features are a highlight of the album.
