This is like the perfect level of catchy pop approachability & banging metal heaviness for me to appreciate. (Why is it so easy for me to get into industrial metal vs metal?) Actually I'm suddenly remembering a meme I saw recently that was like "metal without reverb is just surfer music" which was a fun aspect this album leant into. The last section of Concrete brings me great joy - I have such a soft spot for "terribly depressing lyrics sung cheerfully".

no but how are there so many bops on this album. and they all sound the same! but they're still all so catchy!
I think this is THE album that made me realise how much I love synthpop. I mean that opening riff??? It's THE electronic riff of all time. This album is just none stop bangers and even on the slower songs it doesn't stop the momentum & boppability. This album is so ICONIC.
An incredible album, I'm sure DM will be my favourite band once I get around to listening to all their stuff. Pretty Policy of Truth is one of my most listened tracks throughout my whole life.
