Another collab that nobody wanted, but where most people hate it for some reason, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I do think that it feels a little drawn out despite its 36 minute run time, and I also think that it would have worked better as a Lil B solo album as Chance doesn't really have many moments that show him at his best, but overall it was an enjoyable album. Not the greatest in either discography, but still decent.
So... uh... yeah... I actually kind of like this. I only planned on listening to it now just to get another ungodly long Lil B album out of the way sooner rather than later and because I didn't have the highest expectations for it, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I mean, it's certainly way longer than it needs to be - a common theme with Lil B's albums, I know. But let's be real here, three-and-a-half hours is much longer than ANY album needs to be, Loyalty Casket included, but the ... read more
Actually a really good album. I wasn't really expecting much from the album after 30 Wit A Hammer, but Trap Oz is actually really damn good. It's on the longer side, being two-and-a-half hours, but it has the same effect as God's Father where it doesn't feel quite as long as it actually is. Sure, there are still a lot of songs that could be cut like with all Lil B albums, but it's still a good album as it is.
Well... That was definitely something. Definitely the weirdest album I've heard from Lil B yet. I really didn't expect to hear an ambient spoken word album from the Based God, but I guess I should just expect the unexpected when it comes to Lil B. Certainly not a bad record, and I appreciate that he changed things up, but it didn't interest me as much as it probably should have.
This is another album that feels like it could have been something if he had cut out the filler. There's just way too much here, and when it's good it is really good, but it's still too long for its own good.
More like '855 Song Based Filler'. Way too many songs, way too fucking long, awful features, terrible performances from Lil B, and way too fucking boring. And this is only the first part. This is only the first six hours of a 24 hour long series. God fucking help me.
Definitely one of my favourite Lil B mixtapes that I've heard so far. The first hour or so was one of the best runs of tracks that I've heard yet. Unfortunately, it is dragged down a lot due to the run time not being justified at all, with it pretty much falling apart in the last ten or so tracks. Still one of my personal favourites at the moment.
At this point, it's unsurprising that the Lil B albums I tend to like the most are those on the shorter side. With so many of his albums going well over the sixty minute mark and ungodly lengthy track lists, there's so much filler in his catalog that any sane person would give up on his discography after two or three records. But it's albums like Roses Exodus that keep me wanting to hear more. It may be on the shorter side for a Lil B album, running at less than thirty minutes, but what is hear ... read more
A very alright album. Running at over two hours and a total of 42 tracks, this feels much longer than it needs to be. Honestly, if the track list was cut in half it would be much more bearable, but as it stands, it's a pretty standard Lil B record, some good songs, some pretty bad ones, a ton of forgettable cuts, but overall a decent enough listen.
Choices And Flowers Pt. 2. It's even more boring than the first instrumental, more slow and tiresome. And with it being thirty minutes longer than the previous one, it really isn't worth the time. If you want to listen to Lil B instrumentals, just go to Choices And Flowers. It isn't great, but it's leagues better than this.
Another stupidly long Lil B album has been completed, and the verdict is: it's actually pretty damn good.
Clocking in at just under six hours, it's no surprise that 05 Fuck 'Em is much longer than it needs to be. There's so much filler that, realistically, three-quarters of the tracklisting could be removed and you would get a much better experience. But honestly, this album is enough fun as it is. While I certainly don't think that the six hours were justified in the slightest, there's enough ... read more
Yeah, it's pretty boring. It's a shame, too. I was actually looking forward to this one since it has a pretty high rating on RYM, but this just feels too redundant. I'm not even that deep into B's discography yet, and still this album feels like something he's made a dozen times before. If you've heard pretty much any Lil B album, then you've likely already heard Glassface done a lot better.
This was actually surprisingly pretty damn good. I really didn't know what to expect going into this, but ! is full of really fun songs with energetic deliveries, some good flows, and some really great beats.
I feel like the majority of this record is very enjoyable and worth the listen, especially since it's pretty damn short, but it definitely hits its peak at the latter half of the album. While the opening few tracks are certainly good tracks, I feel like it doesn't really show Sol at his ... read more
Y'all know I love anything which sets up a perfect dark atmosphere. This song does just that. With excellent production and just enough intrigue to make me want to hear more, this song has not become boring once even after listening to it a few times in a row. This makes me really excited to see what the full product is going to be like.
Lil B switches things up for the first (and only (?)) time in his career and makes an album consisting solely of beautiful, relaxing instrumentals. The result is a stunning opening couple of tracks, but as the album continues the novelty wears off pretty damn quickly. I appreciate the Based God doing something different, and it is certainly welcome, but with the tracks being as simple as they are, the 98 minute run time does not feel justified, and it comes off as nothing more than a waste of ... read more
Another really fun tape from the Based God himself. I'd actually argue that this one is pretty damn underrated seeing as it isn't seen as one of his best from fans even though some of the songs on here are definitely some of my favourites from him. Honestly, if it wasn't for the two closing tracks being really boring spoken word parts that go on for a collective twelve minutes, it may have actually been one of my top favourite Based tapes.
Not bad. Not bad at all. For an album which consists mostly of easily-digestible trap beats, it's surprisingly enjoyable. It's not the kind of album I'd usually listen to, but I certainly didn't dislike it.
I feel like this album struggled a lot from being very predictable and very repetitive. A lot of the tracks feel very standard and like I've already heard them before, and there was a long streak of tracks around the middle and latter half which all sort of merged together due to them not ... read more
Now this is a based rating for a based mixtape. Not many seem to love this as much as I do, and I really don't know why I like this so much. It's just such a fun mixtape. While Lil B's entire career stems from him not taking himself too seriously, I feel like this mixtape is the definition of that. This is just B throwing all of his weirdness at us, resulting in this Rare Golden Collectible Mixtape that doesn't overstay its welcome and instead stays for just enough time to leave its impact.
The Based God gets deep, reveals he's a bird, and makes one of the most boring mixtapes that I've heard from him yet. Some tracks are fun, but for the most part it's just a pretty boring listen with some bad production and even worse flows.
After listening to the album in segments a few hours a day since I started my Lil B binge, I have finally finished all 7 hours 45 minutes of this album, all 101 tracks. And let me tell you, this was not a pleasant listen.
Going into the Based God's discography, I knew that I would eventually need to overcome these monster mixtapes, these absolute mammoths. He has so many albums that exceed the five, six, seven, even eight hour mark that it really makes me wonder how much time he has on his ... read more
