It was okay. Some songs were interesting and engaging, while others just fell flat for me. I thought the drum sound was a little over powering at times. I wasn’t crazy about the vocals on a lot of tracks, he’s either whining mopily or screaming. (vocals sounded very Nu Metal like in their cadence) I also think the guitar parts were often too repetitive at times. Great album. It was a really enjoyable listen, very calming and fun.
Once Benny the bouncer came on at work because its own my playlist, and by co-worker turned off the speaker. But in all seriousness, what a voice Greg Lake has! This album proves that lyrics don't matter if you have technical ability and a sick as balls album cover. (shoutout to my boy H.R. Giger!)
I genuinely believe that Wild Honey Pie is the only filler song, every other song has its own charm and unique qualities. Call me crazy, but I enjoy Revolution 9.
