The Gummy Bear has proven to me that you can get much lower and worse than what was already previously thought to be the lowest set point. Everything that made Gummy Bear's 2015 release, "Party Pop" atrocious is back with the same level of consistency given throughout this record. So, The Gummy Bear Album, is literally basically a rehash of Party Pop, with just even more boring, terrible, and insulting tracks. The Gummy Bear really nails his covers of hit notable tracks like Dame Tu ... read more
So far, in the Gummy Bear discography run, this is the most painful record I've had to sit through. To no one's surprise this absolutey sucks, but nothing here is even catchy like the other bullshit they've made, so the gimmicky terrible catchy stuff that kept previous entries at least a little bit memorable is gone. There is basically nothing here worth hearing, even for ironic value.
I love a lot of what this record has to offer. It's pretty interesting, there are some very cool sounds here that I haven't really heard too much, it's like they've created a pretty cool screamo midwest emo and electronic sort of sound, but the Lofi presentation does not do this record any justice.
too much of this record sounds the same, and since i don't find it to be an all too interesting sound, it became very very grating over time..
Some dancey ass songs on here, it becomes painful after like the 8th song.
I love most of this, but god damn! I really think this is easily the worst version of Oh! Starving
Terrible and soulless garbage!!! Cringey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not bad, just a little bit uninteresting here and there, especially around the last leg of the album, where things get pretty uninteresting, but some songs are completely fine for what they are. The performances across the record are not bad, they're pretty good. Just the ideas are what fails to keep me focused the entire way.
not a GY!BE fan but this is epic
I like most of this record, and the beats are pretty great. Production is very epic, but Nas says some kinda cringe things on this record, and this record is kinda inconsistent
no way, they play guitars and have good singing voice
OK Computer. Radiohead. It's a really great album, not my favourite of all time, and I certainly don't think it's the best album to ever be conceived by man, but most of the tracks on here are just really solid rock tunes. Songs like electioneering though are still good, but they're not really as good as other tracks off the record. Exit Music 4 Film is an epic song though.
don stepped out and saw the following they had gotten
I love every minute of this record, it's easily one of my favourite records of all time. The song structures are so interesting and unique, they don't have a single boring moment on the record. The math rock, and post-hardcore instrumentals are so done well, and the vocals and lyrics bring so much passion and emotion into the music. Good Morning, Captain is one of the greatest closers of all time.
The performances on this record are really impressive, they play along some pretty interesting time signatures and sounds, even once getting a little bit jazzy on some passages of the track, Cockroach King. This band can play their instruments pretty well, they play in varied styles around the record, some tracks have like choir vocals in the back, along with some tracks having heavy voice harmony and sort of an acapella style. The lengths of which this record tries to reach is pretty ambitious ... read more
