It's hard to listen to this album anymore, as admirable as it is. It covers all of the bases of a declining relationship and everything afterwards. Denial, misery, closure, moving on are the themes presented here that resonate with me in particular. Tyler ultimately proves here he's just as troubled and heartbroken as anyone
James Blake’s new album isn’t necessarily a rewarding grower like his last works, but it stands firm in the ground of popular album releases this month.
This whole thing is a daze, really. A daze where you become absorbed in the music, forget where you are while listening to it, and constantly giving you chills that make you unwind.
This album is like sitting down with a much older relative and discovering their life story. It may not be entirely interesting, but its relatable ways hits you deep down. Mark Kozelek isn't your dad/uncle/grandpa telling you this story here, but he is human, and that's all the reason to listen to him.
Good lord, this release is such a shame. Slow Dancing seemed to come so naturally from him for how great it was. However, a good bit of the album falls completely flat on its face.
Edit 1 (11/04/18): More listens to this makes it seem like a more impressive pop record. More cohesive now, but far from perfect.
Life is Strange as a video game differentiates itself from other usual point & click story games. It always made you feel like you're actually in control of the world you're in, rather than just playing along a part in a interactive movie. But the real catch to this game was the soundtrack, which is basically all your past teenage emotions punching you in the face. The Life is Strange is oddly beautiful for what it is, an indie soundtrack for an indie game.
Hozier hasn't changed much as a musician during his time of absence. I'd even go as far to say that his songwriting has dulled a fair bit, which is reflected on Nina Cried Power. Although this EP is not godawful, I expected more from Hozier's usual emotionally raw, yet poppy style.
Dude it feels like I'm listening to whole different band than the one I fell for when I was an eager and edgy preteen. It's like ToP has matured in music quality with me.

The OutKast vibes from Jazze Pha & the catchy chorus and perfect flow from each member makes this one of BH's best tracks in my opinion. They've seemed to keep moving forward from Ameer's controversy even though it deeply affected them emotionally.
Another Damon Albarn album that I really tried to like, but can't. To put The Now Now into scale for comparison, none of it reaches the heights of the big three previous albums, is somehow less connected than Humanz, and The Fall (An album developed within a week on an iPad on tour) is somehow a more sophisticated album. This is the confirmation for the beginning of the end for Albarn's talent.
Scorpion is a boring album for boring people, which is what Spotify wants to shove down people's subscription-paying throats in today's day and age of music. If many people out there truly want and praise a filler ridden album like this one, I just don't know what to think about the pop music climate.
I legit don't know what to think of this (in a good way). YotS is so mesmerizing in concept and so abstract and avant-garde, it leaves me speechless and thoughtless.
As a teenager, I believe Will Toledo has the ability to do something the majority of modern day rock bands fail to do completely.
Being relatable.
Toledo's songwriting and song composition has never been better on the Twin Fantasy remake. The album gets better the deeper you go into it and the more you listen to it. And I know it sounds cheesy, but this album just speaks to my young soul.
Grouplove's debut album shows that they are a band that handles their poppy and upbeat sound impressively well when compared to their contemporaries
