Thundercat uses his first album in six years to hone down on specific feelings of imperfection, failure, disappointment and… well distractions. I think he did a great job of incorporating the ironic and absurdist humour within his songs (instead of just doing a whole comedy song) and paired that with more varied song structure and vocal performances, it makes for his most mature and human album.

A supergroup of 4 rappers ranging from ‘pretty talented’ to “one of the most consistent rappers over the past 10 years” comes together to make what they think is the ultimate tracklist.
Other than Hoopty which i think is super fun and bouncy, everything else is kinda plain? There’s a lack of chemistry with the rappers that it takes songs that could be great to something quite lacking and forced.
I applaud Jack Harlow for taking a risk and trying something new. In a way that this is a risk and something new for him and not the general scope of popular music, because there's nothing here that is risky or new. It's actually the safest most 'first time using Garageband' album I've heard in a while
