Not a big fan of Folk as I have never really explored the genre but this is kinda fire
Although it can feel tedious to get through in the same way something like Mac Miller's Faces can due to its length, this album is fantastic throughout and encapsulates 2021 in a way no other album does, this might have been due to the album rollout that had Kanye living in an arena. This gave many people hope a year into COVID and is filled with generational songs.
As many have said before me this is Kanye's last album as although he began to go off the deep end around this time he ... read more
You just had to be there, I have never seen a Metalcore album have such a wide societal impact, everyone was listening to this from all walks of life.
Brutally underrated on this site, has some misses here or there (St. Tropez, Hello and to a lesser extent Note to Self). Embodies that 2011-2015 era of rap and I don't care what anyone says this was in almost every rap fans rotation in 2014/15.
Since 2019 we have got essentially 5 demo "albums" from Mac and an acoustic folk album that deviates from his other music in many ways, Guitar is a decent album don't get me wrong but did we really need One Wayne G but make it Simlish and then 4 demo "albums" that consist of half-baked songs that are seemingly directionless? I love Mac but man I'm fiending for a return to form here, he had a generational run from 2012-2017.
The only reason why this isn't a ... read more
I have never enjoyed an album more that I simultaneously hate the vocals on. The lyrics and instrumentals carry this album more than anything though, Au Pays du Cocaine and Bow Down are some of the best songs I have heard this year. This is a must listen if you get past the nepo baby core vocals.
Edit: 'Long Island City Here I Come' has an iPhone alarm playing throughout the song and you can hear it throughout starting from 0:20.
The way the beats creep up on you then Ka appears with his eerie voice is unmatched, probably one of my favourite atmospheres in an album ever. Rest In Peace.
One of the greatest grunge albums of all time, track 8 to track 12 are a bit of a snoozefest but 'Would?' coming straight after more than makes up for it. Definitely a must listen.
Although I'm partially blinded by early childhood nostalgia as my dad bought this album on release in 2005, so I essentially grew up listening to this album, it still hits the same on each listen and is easily one of my favourite albums of all time. There is something so unbelievably addicting about this album in that once you finish it you want to jump in right again.
It is 50 minutes of addicting instrumentals that have been expertly produced alongside some great vocals and genuinely ... read more
The production on this album is fantastic and blends together genres so well. The only two remotely meh songs in this whole 16 track album are Glitter Freeze and Sweepstakes and even then, they aren't horrible and unlistenable like the lows of some other great albums, they just aren't on the same exemplary level as the rest of the album.
'Empire Ants', 'Stylo' and 'On Melancholy Hill' but you could ask me a month later and that answer would change.
This album was fantastic live during the end of his Chromakopia tour and it is genuinely just hit after hit. I'm confident that this won't be a consistent direction for Tyler and is more of a one-off fun album, with that being said from front to back it has great production and is worth a listen.
The majority of this website's users do not partake in sexual activity nor fun so the user score is very indicative of this. It's a fun Sabrina Carpenter album with generic Jack Antonoff production. You know what you are getting going into this and the highlights of this album make it worth it, there is a couple bang average, generic pop songs in here but for the most part you have an album that is really fun, a bunch of playful lyrics and occasionally pleasing, yet busy ... read more
I would go as far to say that this is arguably the most replayable album of all time, every single song is incredibly catchy and it's influence of electronic music as a whole knows no bounds. I really struggle to think of an album you can chuck on at any point in your life, no matter what you are doing and it still be endlessly enjoyable. I seriously don't know how people have R.A.M over this masterpiece. Even if you aren't in to electronic music whatsoever absolutely give it a ... read more
Not something I would usually discover and actively listen to but was pleasantly surprised after @oneword1 recommended this to apparently all of us. Keep it up!
Definitely not Mac's best work but is still a really enjoyable listen nonetheless. He takes a much slower, reserved approach almost like the slower songs from 'Another One' but as a whole album, he does admittedly get a bit deranged here or there and with repetitive songs like Here Comes the Cowboy and Choo Choo but as a whole I really don't mind this album, it's definitely not as good as 2, Salad Days or This Old Dog, or even the Another One EP for that ... read more
