Slightly better than the official Breach album because Drag Path is beautiful.
I love a lot of this record and the songs I didn't connect with at first are quickly growing.
After a couple of listens, the auto-tune has grown on me. The chaos works in the context of the song and the story. He's in his head when being gripped by depression/anxiety. The line "I wanna get out there, but I don't try" really hits hard. I love that they're still taking chances and making unexpected choices in their music.
Rating this doesn't seem fair, because these are songs made by a teenager just learning how to make music. It's a really interesting historical document, because we get to see where Tyler started. He is self taught, but even at the beginning Tyler seemed to have an idea of the kind of music he wanted to make.
