Another song edging us, it has to be on purpose. On a side note, I feel like I glaze Charli too much and easily like a song of hers, hopefully I will engage in the next hate train and regain my critical thinking.
Underrated legend, the experience of hearing it for the first time in an overnight car ride was so dreamlike.
I hate to say it, but I just don't get it.
This was my first Jane Remover album and I was kind of excited since she's well spoken by both critics and the public, besides she´s friends with and collaborator of some artists I've been enjoying a lot recently. However, I just disliked almost everything about this record.
The vocals felt really monotonous for me, I couldn't figure out how they fit the lyrics, which were intended to be very emotional and all of that, but ... read more
Idk guys I like how messy it sounds. I feel like nothing fits together here but I enjoyed it since the first listen and feel like hearing it again
Is this a safe space to say I'm here because of heated rivalry?
Anyway, I'm obsessed with this series and it is bleeding through my other hobbies, so here I am.
Besides the first track, I was kinda ok with everything up to "fancy claps", that's the song where I truly started getting invested. Initially, I thought I might be disapointed by the whole album besides "I'll believe in anything", but things turned out pretty interesting in "fancy ... read more
Well, Hayden wasn't being hyperbolic when she said she cried every single day while finishing this album.
I have to admit I had a long ride with this album until I could feel it to its entirety. At first, I was underwhelmed, dazzled with her former two works, I wasn't hold hostage to this instantly. By the end of the first listen, I couln't grasp anything that could make me cry like a baby. That was it, I thought with myself: "yeah, this is cool, but nothing ... read more
What a cool name for a band
I'm amazed by how everything works in this album, though metal music and harsh vocals don't appeal that much to me, I have to recognize their accomplishments here. It is insane to me someone can reach those sounds with their throats constantly without completely bursting it out. Not only that, but also sounding cool throughout all of the record. The moments absent of harsh vocals are also amplified by it, the atmosphere feels much more loose and ... read more
O enfoque é no ... read more
ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: SMILE! :D
This sounds so bland, I wasn't able to spot anything impressing in the lyrics, the electronic sound of his managed to get at most the movement of my mouth as I yawned trying not to sleep and some choices in the vocals and production here just truly got me comitted to the indifference, but glad there was people who enjoyed it, can't say I didn't tried.
This is, sadly, awful, those days back in 2021 when I would argue that she was one of the best mainstream pop girlies seem such a distant sight now. The new landscape is full of bad lyrics, lazy production and compositions that belongs to dressing shops with halls of same style garments whose only effort to look unique centers around different colors and prints, illusions of personality that serves solely to boost the sales of the "magnifique" industry of entertainment.
ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: SABLE, fABLE
Delighted by the EP, I've found myself solicitous to hear the entire project, and while it didn't turn me down, I couldn't find much to be positively surprised, though it was a good listen.
ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: DOUBLE INFINITY
Feel sorry for them, since I truly enjoyed their 2022 album – as well as Lenker's solo projects –, I'm very much disappointed, it lacked the tenderness of DNWMIBIY, the psychedelic and less acoustic take didn't fit them in my opinion, honestly had no impetus to relisten to it.
ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL
Honestly, underestimated, it was really fun, some tracks surprised me with its boldness even, and while we got basic pop songs too, they were not annoying and have great karaoke potential.
ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: GETTING KILLED
Didn't touched me as hard as people were saying it did, good production though and the lyrics aren't bad too.
Some may say this is scary. Nevertheless, for me, it is as comforting as it could get, from the silent ambient moments to the slow ballads I feel gravitated towards Hayden's somber world, but I feel no fear, the melancholy helplessly tied to these patient chords, waveling sounds, reverbering strings, whispered mantras contrasting to beautifully moving vocals and the haunting themes adressed on this EP are rather peaceful. I find space in the darkness to see (or, for a less contraditory ... read more
Since we're beginning a new album run I thought it was time to revisit Honey
The first time I heard this record I must admit I was sold immediately, her take on dance-pop was just like its title, it made me groove to its sound tenderly. It is not aggressive, it is sweet. The lyrics are not inovative, yet they flow like a gentle rush through Robyn's mouth, like a perfect fit garment and it turns the experience so enjoyable.
The track list was also such a cool take here, it reminds me ... read more
I'm not as annoyed with Cale's spoken word as some people here seems to be, but I would love if the industrial part was longer and had more twists. Still a very cool maneuver in charli's sound
I enjoyed the multicultural aspects of it and also liked the production, even when it was not breathtaking it wasn't boring at any point. As an eternal hostage to orchestral music, I tend to overly enjoy when it is used, and fusing it with pop was a pleasent and fun experience. Besides, the vocals are also very fitting and beutifully done.
However, I kinda disliked some of the lyrics, they sometimes sounded cringey – the "red flag ambulante" and the "went to buy a ... read more
Probably will review it completely later
Don't know why it took me so much time to get into Ethel Cain, I knew about her since her debut, and from her aesthetic, the few clips I saw from her and some comments about her work convinced me that I would enjoy her artistry a lot. She's just leans a lot on my likings, still I felt like I should wait and I did: I avoided hearing her songs until I decided I would take a deep dive into her discography, hear the albums patiently, watch ... read more
