Listening to rappers’/producers’ earlier works is fun because it shows the progress of skill and talent, and this was honestly a cool instrumental mixtape to listen to. It’s fun, basic, and sure, not too crazy, but foreshadows what’s to come.

Despite this being a heavy Led-Zeppelin-inspired album, the style of Rush’s songwriting foreshadows what came to be.

Rush makes a perfect example of not caring about what the industry wants, and proceeding to make one Magnum-Opus of a sci-fi album that stands out from your average 70s rock album.

Not only is this my favorite album of the Phil Collin’s era, but so is it my favorite album throughout the entire Genesis catalogue. The perfect blend of melody and storytelling makes this album a great example of what a concept album should be.
