This is peak Sleep Token and its not even close. The production is insane, the vocals are insane, the difference track to track covers so many genres its impressive. I love this album.
Album of vibes and some cool music but I feel it's lacking variety and runs out of steam before the end of the album. I'm a big fan of their earlier work, this is still a decent album but it doesn't even come close to Feel Something. Also, the fact cherry thrill wasn't part of an album is a crime.
I am absolutely addicted to this album. I had never heard of these guys prior to 2022 when I saw them supporting Knuckle Puck at a show in London where not only did they sound PHENOMENAL, but they also had catchy songs, great stage presence and energy that made the crowd go wild.
This album shows off some of this band's greatest features, from strong and memorable instrumentals to super catchy lyrics that are sure to get stuck in your head. Theres an oddly nostalgic feel with this record, ... read more
Honestly prefer these to some songs on the release title lol
This album could have suffered a terrible date after gathering the house l hype it did, thanks for that TikTok... Regardless! This album is so full of the sheep token content that we know and love plus a few added quirks we haven't seen before, from the heavy chugs seen in many of the songs to the trap beats to the mellow vocoded vocals this thing really takes you on a journey. I've listened several times since first receiving the album a few days early and while I still think the singles are ... read more
I have listened to this album several times now and everytime I do I find something else I like about it. It's fun, energetic and featuring two of the most interesting hiphop artists of current day who their thing at some of the highest levels we've seen. Love it.
Not giving this a rating as I already rated the original album but just wanted to add a quick note. I love this album to death and it was the sound of my childhood growing up. Hearing these additional songs has made me feel a way that I dont think many albums could and it's beautiful to see them released.
RIP Chester, long live your legacy.
I think nito has missed the point in what fans like about his music, over half this project is pretty generic sadly. Nonetheless, nito provides his usual flow across this ep, add in the clarity and bars and this is a pretty good tape overall but held up to nitos usual standards, it falls quite flat.
Wow. What an incredible album. I''ve been waiting for this for a while after finding these guys in some random youtube playlist and I was not disappointed. The production is on point and very unique sounding, the instrumentals are varied and keep good pace throughout the album, never sounding out of place and those vocals are so unique it really is the cherry on top.
Would highly recommend this album to anyone who likes gritty (yet clean) core music.
From front to back this album is beautiful. Rory recently posted on socials that he is "unapologetic" about the change in sound and frankly, if anyone complains it's on them. The production on this album is incredible and Rory stands front and center with some of the best lyrics and performance I've heard yet.
I can feel myself coming back to this album, wanting to listen to it once more already.
Yeah I did not enjot this at all, the lyrics are trash, the production is seemingly worse, the musicality is gone...
I will defend this album forever. This album will forever standout to me in a crowd of ever populating hip hop records, from it's interesting and atmospheric beats, it's synthwork and drum samples are incredible sounding and expertly produced by greenwood sharps leaving plenty of room for Me Key to take mic and drop some of the deepest bars I've ever heard in hip hop. With his scattered flow and clean pronunciation, you can really hear the pain in the words he speaks. The stories he tells on ... read more
//Edit 31/10/22 - I was very harsh on first review. I have not stopped listening to this album since and I've fallen more and more in love with it. Upping my rating to 80 from 72.
The singles are the best part, the rest of the album feels like it's trying to copy the singles except for one or two tracks that stray away from that formula. Shame really, I was really hoping this would be better. I dont hate it, but I'm not going to be rushing back to listen anytime soon.
Easily the best stuff they've released in a while. The beats are beautiful, the performances from both Ruby and $crim are some of their best. I am happy they have found the sweet spot for the new style, as a long time $$ fan, I'm here for it.
