My first review of this was harsh. Honestly I don't mind it, generally the melodies are there and the songs are catchy enough to make up for the lack of interesting themes or musicality.
his best performance to date, just a shame is pretty uninteresting
Not as good as its predecessor but a solid album.
RIP PEEP.
Generally really enjoyable, not a massive fan of all the audio clips and skits layed within the music.
EDIT 03/01/21 - Further listening, this album aint great honestly, most tracks are an easy skip.
This is a strange mix of songs. The genre jumps like three times and Tion leaves the drill comfort zone for some softer songs and it doesn't work as well in my eyes.
An interesting mix of tracks, some good, some not so good. Overall not too bad honestly, the singles they put out were really good in my opinion and the rest of the album tries to live up but falls just that little bit short.
Reshaping the metal game honestly. The quality somehow meets the inedible singles they put out and this album is pure bliss. Beautiful melodies, insane heaviness and the band sounds as tight as ever. Easy AOTY contender.
This is one situation where the hype around the album didn't hurt it. This thing lived up to expectations.
You know what they all say? It's aight. Some catchy beats and hooks but relatively generic from the KY breakout.
Standouts;
Way Out (feat. Big Sean)
Tyler Herro
Whats Poppin
This album never coming out 💀💀
A near perfect Hip-Hop album. The beats are interesting and keep an drugged feel throughout the album. The bars coming from Baxter on this one are something else, the time in Vietnam writing this definitely played a role in the theme overall.
As much as I do love this album, I cannot listen to it on a daily basis LOL
Not entirely sure what the point of this release is, but they're all good songs so not really complaining.
WOW. I had high hopes for this album after the singles - all of which I liked - but this album passed my expectations to be become my biggest AOTY contender this year. There are no low moments on this album, every song has a new riff with a new feel and yet that Erra vibe that we love. I was excited when I heard these guys were signing with UNFD and I think this album proves that was a good idea.
I've listened to this album on repeat for the best part of a year now. The blend of clean and unclean vocals, the INSANE instrumentals and the beautiful production makes this one of my favourite albums.
Solid reworks of their already good album, love these features and remixes.
