i’m a big fan of the production on this album because it’s influenced by so many different genres of music and i think the inspiration behind the album really adds to its overall sound
lyrically his weakest project by far and while there are a few standout dance pop tracks, most of it just feels like leftovers from his previous album
such lush production with such witty lyrics. this is exactly what i needed to hear!
i had slightly higher expectations given it won a grammy for rock album of the year but still pretty good. clean ass production
i love the genre mixing on this project and i genuinely felt a ton of their old music throughout this album. def wanna listen again to digest it lyrically but production and synthesis wise this was amazing
we are so back!!! love the use of samples and felt like this album flowed really well
i’m sorry i don’t get it i don’t think im avant garde enough… super interesting experience and one i’m glad i did but i doubt ill ever listen again
i just don’t think tame impala is made to make house music. i appreciate the direction he’s trying to go in but unfortunately it didn’t work out as well as he hoped
while not as strong as their last project, this album is still theatrical and orchestral in all the right places.
the new direction for king princess is definitely exciting and i think the production on this album is pretty decent. unfortunately it falls flat lyrically compared to other projects and the entire album just feels unfinished
one of my all time favorite albums. so ethereal and dreamy and honestly paved the way for so much of the shoegaze/dream pop stuff to come
this album is so warm and comforting yet it also has experimental elements to it which i really appreciate. there’s some psychedelic shoegaze stuff going on beneath the surface which really elevates their folk sound
