I think I fw the deluxe tracks more than the original. Cult Status was worth the wait ong, 3 minutes of my favourite moment from the original.
I think this is one of Swans most easily digestible works, excluding the 40 minute goliath that is The Beggar Lover Three; Michael Gira battles with his own mortality in this brilliant record. Held back by weaker moments such as Los Angeles: City of Death, where this album really flourishes is in the longer tracks, TBLT included in that assessment.
I feel like this functions pretty well as a sound pallette for the next album. Wasn't the most cohesive listen.
the entire time i was listening to this all i was thinking about was how fucking cool the sound pallette here is
fav track: feel all the time. i love that reversed piano in the track.
I feel like to properly enjoy this, you need to not think of the contributions that Isaac would have made and appreciate it as its own piece of art.
More people should know about this album, this is an almost perfect album. A more modern, less optimistic take on Big Science and the American life is displayed as Laurie Anderson guides us through the thoughts of the American Machine and the start of time.
Return to form for Dizzee Rascal. This hits a lot harder than most of his previous albums, about as good as something like Showtime. Shout out Nigel Farage🖖🖖
I wish this was longer. Best track here is move on. How is the production here just as solid, (if not better) than the last ep??
