Pretty sad that I couldn't quite understand the hype with this one. Functions finely as a set of psychedelic-folky vibes, but despite some great songs in the mix, lacks the coherence of a 'Mount Eerie' in my opinion.
EDIT: (74 --> 85)
Grew on me a lot, I think this album has some truly sonically wonderful moments.
it would be so good without the weird electric sections😭
dont really want to give it a number rsting because its obviously not finished yet. some of these tracks have potential tho, and as kanyes number 1 hater, close to you did make me a little emotional
how is this by the same peraon who made 'we had good times together, don't forget that', aka. the greatest dnb album of all time?
Pretty damn nice. Would love to see a more realised version of this.
I don't understand the hate for the last track, it's such an atmospheric and haunting closer to the album.
Maybe I'm crazy, maybe I'm pretentious, but think about it.
This album is as close to pure creativity as any can be. The musicians don't know anything about music, there's no theory here, almost no timing; it's just 4 kids playing what they think sounds good. That's why I think this is a perfect album: not by means of innocense, hidden genius, blah blah. This album is what pure creativity sounds like.
how are these getting even better??? this actually might be album of the year
dude, i'm still not 100% sure, but i think this might be the greatest album ever recorded.
