For the time i'm sure it was an amazing album with very brillant ideas and production however it aged very poorly, from a 2026 point of view this album sounds very old, and outdated, so in conclusion, great album but wrong time !
It's sweet, the voice is calm and it's very pretty, however there is nothing worth to remember in it
After the concert, I've been hyper-focused on Pray for Paris. If we take each track individually, I don't think it would be a 10/10; HOWEVER, the entire album as a vibe and a statement is for sure a 10/10. We got those classic Westside Gunn ad-libs (GRRRRR BOW BOW BOW BOW 😭🙏🔥) but also that very melodic and slow-paced type of beat.
The feature list is also very, VERY packed with insane artists such as Tyler, the Creator (#1 Tyler glazer) but also the very talented Conway the ... read more
A nice album which some good rythm, good bars and production but nothing outrageously memorable
OKAY, WOOOOOWWW!
Did not expect that AT ALL! Really cool project and some really deep Luci4 (RIP) inspiration. Really a goated individual trying to make their own music and not some copy-paste of everybody else. Really cool!
What if we added more pop to Ichiko Aoba? Silent Flame does feel like an album where you just infuse Ichiko Aoba with some dreamy pop in the best way possible. A really cool discovery and a nice City Pop voice! Really a good album if you like that happy, almost anime-opening feel to music! The only flaw would be that sometimes it feels a bit repetitive or bland, but overall a cool project !!
Sometimes the most beautiful things are in the simplest ones...
A very pretty album with a lot said with 0 words...
I find a lot of the reviews very arch...
For a debut album, it is really, really good. It's catchy, and the switch between English and Filipino is very good (even though I find the Filipino songs maybe lacking a bit of depth and variety throughout the album). But other than that, it's VERY good.
And don't even get me started on the absolutely INSANE bridge on "What if I miss you for the rest of my life?" during her live version on Wish 107.5!
Hmm, thank you, youtube...
I feel very deeply touched by "Confession of a dolphin"
Maybe fishing is all life has to give us... hmm...
We are still getting that heavy-hitting "booboobooboom!" However, on this album, he sounds particularly more angry. His flows are sharper, but the samples are still what make this album so good for its time.
I do get why Action Bronson sounded so similar to Westside Gunn now...
I got a bit scared at first because the beginning of the album was quite "weak" (using heavy quotes since it's still an amazing start), but the true strength of the album, production and flow-wise, really resides in the middle and end. You really get that gritty, hard-hitting beat and melody paired with that "money" voice from Westside, rapping about luxury with his very unusual yet pleasing ... read more
THEY SHOT THE FROG ????
And did The Alchemist and Westside Gunn had a white son ? Because Action Bronson do feel like a mix of both, that's an interesting album tho, some interesting ideas and a wonderful finally, however it got a bit repetitive ?
In a world where England is turning into a joke, scousers and rage rappers are here to make it a little less of a joke of a country. Thank you, SINN6R!
I was planning to rate this one a 75-76, until "Ascension" came. Because damn, this is really an 11-minute banger! And don't get me started on those amen breaks... they're absolutely fire.
