i tried and i just can’t get behind this record. it feels slow and his voice is personally aggravating. the songs feel repetitive at times and for 2007 it feels like other albums have executed this better in the past aswell.
there are some nice unique moments on this like weird fishes, other than that thought it feels like a bland mixture of regurgitated art rock basics. i can understand why people like it but i cant understand how its this high in the top 100 let alone top 10,,, imo ... read more

super hot take but this is kinda fun and maybe a bit overhated?
like seriously I thought I was going to come back to this one hating it and it aging terribly, but it just simply brought back nostalgia. Though the middle part of this album is really repetitive almost boring at times and I would’ve wished alone or moving on was on this instead of them, the highlights in this are great. one of the few records that screams 2016 to me
