Before listening to this record I really believed the tag "Folk Pop" and expected something I didn't get, that's not a bad thing though, since what we have on this record is more "Psychedelic Folk" like the track "Nagare Yoi Uta" and even "Psychedelic Rock" like the track "Yokohama". This was a pleasant surprise, the vocals are amazing and haunting, the instruments feel tired and melancholic, at times a chilling listen, at times a ... read more
How beautiful and heartwarming. I don't have many words to express how I surprised I was when listening to this project and how much I've liked it. I've listened to it a couple of times before writing this and I'm still short for words. I can tell you that the production is quite good and very minimalistic, the tracks have a lot of very moody and dark elements, also very good ear candy. This is easily one of those records that you can put on a loop for the whole day and ... read more
This is all I ever needed to satiate my need for noise, glitch and abstract hip hop. This is gnarly, noisy, crooked and broken. This is the needed blend, thank you. The lyrics are depressing and sometimes quite tame which gives good contrast to the dark instrumentals. I was never a fan of this record because of it's stylistic and repetitive emotional loop but I can appreciate the value of the work being put in here, although this is something I wouldn't come back ... read more
Just like I said in my review for the self-titled album, this record has all that but explored a little more. This has plucky elements, bright synths, fantastic vocals and vocals pads, and the drum work is just as clean as in the album before. This is one of the cleanest sounding electronic records I've heard, even surpassing "Bicep" sonically, some of the ideas fell a little short sometimes but the sound selection made up for it. These guys are experts at building the tension of ... read more
