Really great crop of tracks here, absolutely adore When I'm Small.
Best Track: When I'm Small
Worst Track: Running From The Cops
Unsure as to why the second half of this EP is rated so lowly compared to the first half because honestly I actually prefer the second half way more. Despite being the lowest rated track, Goldfish is actually my favourite on the entire record. I'm a much bigger fan of the calm ballad sound than the typical k-pop type of music we see on the earlier tracks.
Not as wacky and whimsy as secret admirer but it still stands as a really solid EP.
Best Track: sometimes it gets worse
Worst Track: (waking up again)
Overrated Track: N/A
Underrated Track: all
drug bug casually dropping their second record of the year and it's super cool. not a single miss here, highly recommended.
This is a fairly high 8/10. Big fan of the indie rock/shoegaze vibe that's going on here.
Best Track: FLOWER GIRL
Worst Track: MAKE L
Had a really fun time with this record, arguably the best South Korean album I've heard so far. I almost guarantee that anybody who listens to this will at one point think of Lamp and I'm saying that in a great way, every track gives off such a 'dreamy' and warm vibe that I couldn't help but enjoy every bit of.
Recommendation from @SG_270505
Yeah this is an unbelievable record, I love absolutely every track. Soft Lipa is basically Taiwan's answer to Nujabes and I whole heartedly believe that he deserves that title. His production is so similar to Nujabes' best projects that it's almost uncanny, it's really refreshing to see somebody who can replicate that sound but put their own fresh twist onto it. Every track has this incredibly relaxing, melodic and atmospheric instrumental ... read more
My 200th Rating!!
This was recommended to me by a friend and it's a worthy 200th rating imo. The tracklist is pretty solid, with the sound being pretty consistent across every track. It does lean into being slightly repetitive at times but it's not overly noticeable, at least not enough to bring the rating down.
This kinda hits hard but I can confidently say that I don't wanna listen to another piece of this for the foreseeable future, mainly because of whoever's voice is stabbing my ears. It's got some good production I'll give it that, but I think the overwhelming urge to turn the music off outweighs the production value.
After 5+ years I sat down today and decided to revisit Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly, to reassess my thoughts on this record from a newer, more knowledgeable perspective. TPAB functions as a work that transcends the typical approach of chart setting, instead focusing on attempting to influence and alter the musical canon through its political storytelling and mesh of genres. After such a long break from listening to this album, I do feel that I understand the greatness of it much ... read more
This entire album consists of me saying "oh I know this song" and then adding it to my playlist. It's actually hilarious to me that I actually love this record, since this just isn't my type of music at all and I'd already had a slightly skewed view coming into it because of the whole brat summer thing
This is the shit we live for right here, laced with pure depression and I LOVE IT. Perfectly rated album.
Some pretty standard rock. I wasn't particularly impressed or moved by this tracklist.
Entry 122/1916+ of listening to every AOTY "must hear album"
This record BLEW me away. I'm not known to be an avid listener of art pop, but this album might be my gateway into experiencing more of what's available out there.
Best Track: It's snowing like it's the End of the World
Worst Track: Amnesia
The best EP of all time.
This is an unbelievably high 9/10 and I'm sure it could even go up to a 10/10 in the near future. I absolutely love both of these tracks, each song is a massive build-up to some of the greatest musical climaxes you'll ever hear.
her music is so good it’s a shame she’s allergic to making a project longer than 20 minutes
