first genuine review of this album. actually really good, i love thug but i know hes been kinda hit or miss sometimes but this is a really solid album ands it really catches its stride at the middle of it. some of the beats are just insane like on the drake, future and 21 songs. only song i didnt actually like was money on the dresser but there was at least something good about every other song. thug had some weird inflections that didnt really hit at the beginning but he managed to make most ... read more
better than mr morale and damn. flawless minus no make up and tammys song. keishas song is just a more concise sing about me
though fs not an objective 100, its personally my favorite ye album, ofc i can agree that he has multiple better albums, but the fact that ye made a 40 minute album on par enjoyment wise (for me) with 1hr+ epics like mbdtf and tcd is insane. send it up took a while to grow on me but its still great, but i can understand people not liking it or the crazy bars on im in it, or if just the prod isnt your thing. even if you dont like this album, you cant ignore the experience of listening to the ... read more
i dont think people are realizing that tyler made a top 5 rap aoty in 2021 then dropped a deluxe thats on the same level
no misses, i can understand people who arent a fan of yachty's voice in parts but it fits so well with the prod. one of my favorite albums to listen to front-to-back rn
hear me out, i know this high as fuck, but if we stop hating on drake as a person for a second and just actually listen to this, its great. yeah the last 2 tracks, and some in the middle are a little worse (looking past that one little bar in girls want girls the only problem is that its kinda boring) but some of these songs and beats are the best in his catalog.
i know people are gonna hate me but tbh i think this album has higher highs than blonde, maybe when ive spent more time with both projects i might change my mind. honestly the only song that i think isnt great (-interludes/skits) is monks just bc the organ is kinda annoying and i gotta relisten to bad religion and forrest gump. everything else is at least a 9/10, sweet life + crack rock until the end (minus the stuff i said already) is perfect
my favorite album oat (yes it’s a compilation and yes it’s a compilation of mixtapes but that doesn’t matter). im not as huge fan of a fan of eos compared to hob and thursday (still great) but i can't let it take away from the atmosphere and experience this project gives you. if you want individual rankings, hob is an easy 100, thursdays a 95, and eos is a 90. i think the 3 track run from initiation to the fall is weak in comparison to the rest of the project but that ... read more
god tier summer album, massa, sweet, and hot wind blows are basically perfect songs
Seriously I don’t understand why people think this album is so mid. Don could definitely do better on a couple hooks and some of the features aren’t great (Durk and Bieber specifically), but other than that it’s very solid. Standardly great prod you would expect from cactus jack and even some times experimental (bus stop and if I had come to mind). Just a good late night album, guess it helped me to listen to it right at release. Like only 2/3 misses
this album is an insane freshman (not including dbr), even the 2-3 songs I don’t really like still aren’t bad. Songs like nightcrawler, 90210, oh my dis side, pray 4 love, and Maria I’m drunk are all perfect, and many others are great too. Some of the best production I’ve ever heard, common mike dean w
Loved the singles he dropped late 2021-this album and it def lived up, some more mediocre songs but there is a majority of great songs with great production
most songs go really hard but feature choices and call my bluff could be better
