I feel like this is the first weeknd album I have extremely disappointingly not come away with any incredible standouts besides take me back to la. I don’t think that there was a single bad song but there was just very few moments that even stood out to me on first listen. I do plan to relisten multiple times because I feel like there has to be something I’m missing but honestly this just does not feel like the album to end the final trilogy of The Weeknd.

wlr effect is completely real, liked this album on first listen not long after it came out, probably would’ve said it was around a 6/10ish but now I think this album is great. yeah jumpouthehouse is still ass (whether or not it’s good live) but the production and what carti does with voice on the albums is great, tho still not as good as die lit
futures best album by in my opinion, other than the run from tracks 12-14 I really don’t think there are any low moments on the album (you da baddest on the deluxe is kind of boring but pie is great). i think this is the last album that thug was in peak form, hoping his next album will be something special, but this album is basically just a straight hit parade. the first 10 songs are a flawless run imo, though the original ecstasy was definitely better, i don't think mgks verse was bad at all. all in all, im praying that we get this level of thug again soon
for someone who thinks j Cole is extremely overrated on a whole as an artist, this album is actually perfect
god this album is so fucking fun. besides tracks 2 and 3 this is pretty close to perfect. with some of the best songs in his career to this day like wyclef jean, future swag, harambe, and pick up the phone being up there. jeff finally free and I would love to see him do something like a jeffery sequel as his first album back. also if anyone tryna buy me the vinyl it would be greatly appreciated.

one of last years best albums gets even better, re entry might be a top 5 Sampha song
tecca has always been consistently really good. he doesnt really push himself that much often but I respect that he produces a lot of his own stuff, having great transitions, and his last few albums have had minimal features and I don't really get bored of hearing him for a full album tbh. that being said I really hope that he tries to go outside his comfort zone on his next album and give us something really new

not as great as I was anticipating it to be but still pretty good
probably the closest thing we're ever gonna get to hndrxx 2 (though a little less experimental) and i'm all here for it, for how long it is I thought it would be way less enjoyable
