Starts out pretty great. Unfortunately gets pretty stale after the first couple of songs
Edit: Yeah I got past many of these complaints (which still stand) because of how fucking good these songs are
This was a hard album for me to formulate my thoughts on. I loved the vast majority of it: the production is amazing (as expected), these songs are unbelievably catchy, and underscores' vocals are her all time best. Seriously cannot understate how amazing some of these songs are and how fun they are. At the same time, I can't help but feel like this album has missed ... read more
Better than I expected for modern Cudi (still not very good overall but I like the first song)
70-> 80
edit: yeah ts peak
There are some great songs here (especially trying times and just a little higher) and I really like the overall tone and sound. It’s just a few songs, especially toward the back half, that are more forgettable and break that really strong start.
50 -> 60
bro thinks he can make r&b
he kinda can it's just boring
idk it can be pleasant enough if you shut your mind off

This made me feel like a gay boy dancing alone in his room
in all honesty this is so close to an 8 for me because DAMN there are some amazing tracks (world's end, scissor knife sword, angels cry, spirit power, and yandere being my favs) and the energy throughout is infectious. But there are also some definite duds in the back half and I wish a lot of these songs were longer and more developed.
Trying to like metal-esque projects pt.2
yeah I think this is an example of this just not being for me. Impressive production- but I didn't find myself latching onto any particular moment and think overall that the songs don't stand out.
This is the 3rd Beatles album (and 700th album!!!) I’ve listened to and it definitely the most consistent of the three. While I think its highs aren’t as high as the other two I’ve heard, their quirky charm is still totally here and the whole thing is a super pleasant and concise listen
