I’m not exaggerating when I say I was literally emotional listening to this comeback. CODE is everything I needed and more. The nostalgia hit instantly this is what a real girl crush comeback sounds like. With this release, K-pop feels peak again.

Honestly, I’m not even mad that the album is boring and mediocre, because at this point it’s something we’ve gotten used to. With their recent releases, it often feels like the title track is the only truly enjoyable and memorable part of the album, while the rest just fades into the background.

The song should’ve been fully hybrid trap and more electropop-ish. It isn’t loud or mechanical enough at all. I needed that post-industrial touch so bad. Something like Kim Petras’s “Polo.” I would’ve been completely gagged.
