Lil Yachty - Hate Me
70

This forced Ian hate gotta stop. And the overrating of yachty as a rapper as well.

J. Cole - Might Delete Later
NR

Even drake would've dropped a better diss track

Autumn! - Golden Child, Chapter 3
85

Golden Child Chapter 3 is seen by many teenage underground rap fans as the best album in 2023 to come out of that scene and for good reason. This 24 song album is entirely produced mixed, written and performed just by autumn himself and is in its worst aspect very solid and in its best aspects phenomenal. The catchy melodies and flows gets u addicted, the lyrics and are fun, relatable and touching, the varied subject matters are very intriguing and the production gives very pleasant soothing ... read more

Blu & Real Bad Man - Bad News
79

Was excited to listen to this when I saw this released. U got a short & sweet collab project between Blu, a rapper who I consider eilte tier if we just talking about pure 90' style rapping, and Real Bad Man who I'm only familiar with his work with boldy james and on those projects his stellar & gritty, classical sounding boom bap production with unique voice samples sprinkled in between got me intrugued into wanting to hear more of him. This project although not mindblowing gave me ... read more

Thouxanbanfauni - Requiem
93

Requiem is a fan favourite by fauni fans for good reason. Thouxanbanfauni utilises his signature smooth and rapid flows perfectly on here. Both the flow switches and choices are on point with the production. Add melodies that stick into your head onto that plus some very simple catchy wordplays and u get very addicting performances that keeps u coming back.
Not to mention all the beats here feels very majestic and are very unique from one another.

Yeat - Trëndi
87

I love this ep so much. 4 insanely replayable songs with lots of fun elements, catchy flows and hype lines sprinked in. It's a relatively simple ep with lots of things to enjoy in just a runtime of under 10 minutes.

Lil Ugly Mane - MISTA THUG ISOLATION
100

Mista Thug Isolation is the memphis rap revival album that puts Travis Miller who's better known as Lil Ugly Mane on the map. It was capitalizing of the at the time newly established memphis rap renaissance wave, that was set by SpaceGhostPurrp with his blackland radio 66.6 mixtape. Mista thug Isolation is a slight mix between a horrorcore album with some of its gruesome lyrics and a parody/satire album that mocks the stereotypical rapper talking points.
In this album Lil Ugly mane displays a ... read more

Yeat - Up 2 Më
94

Yeat got an incredibly unique rapping style. While his wacky musical ideas might sound horrible on paper, the way he implements and combines them is what made him one of the most popular rappers today, with a very cultlike fanbase backing him. "Up 2 më" features lots of moments that normally should sound goofy, but somehow yeat always manages to find a way to make it work. The unconventional voice inflections, the way he switches between them, the eccentric flows, the humming in ... read more

Denzel Curry - TA13OO
100

Although Denzel considers MMESYF his best album, to me TA1300 is truly the most ambitious album Denzel Curry has ever released. That's cause TA1300 got an intriguing story and concept going on that keeps u captivated throughout while still keeping that trap rap energy that denzel was known for prior. The album is divided into 3 acts: light which is track 1-4, grey which is track 5-9 and dark which is track 10-13. The light section mostly consist of smooth pop rap songs where denzel was ... read more

LUCKI - Days B4 III
95

Days B4 III is the Lucki project u come to if u simply looking for catchy trap bangers. As expected Lucki brought his A-game with his beat selection but this time the trap beats are a lot more varied. Due to the variety in beats here, the album switches between positive and negative moods like upbeat/depressed a lot. Lucki's rapping here (if u compare it to his other projects) is a lot less minimalistic and he sounds more optimistic and expressive than usual. Yeah u still get that cold demeanor ... read more

Travis Scott - Days Before Rodeo
82

Days before Rodeo acts as a precursor of to his debut album "Rodeo" and aimed to showcase the potential Travi$ Scott had as a music artist back then. As a result its not as cohesive or expansive as his albums but there's a lot of more risk taken as you see Travis experimenting with a variety of sounds and adding his unique style into it. Although there could be some songs that misses the mark for you, the songs that do hit that mark standout a lot due to how expansive these tracks ... read more

Sickboyrari - Coc4ine & Icecre4m 2048
97

Hidden gem from Black Kray. If I had to define this project with one word its wavy.
Coc4ine & Icecre4m 2048 sees Black Kray experimenting his sound with witch house elements in a mixtape for the first time. As a result u get rough, surreal sounding and/or hardhitting production by other fellow witch house artists like oOoOO and Salem. Combine this with the extremely simple yet swaggy style of rapping from the early kray days and u get an incredible fun, trippy and unreal sounding listening ... read more

RXKNephew - Crack Therapy 2
74

Supposedly this is the second crack therapy tape in the series. It's a short and sweet laidback rap project where u see neph rapping about both the positive and negative experiences in his life with many entertaining punchlines sprinkled while flowing smoothly and calmly over these colourful plug beats.

Jace! - 556 (Green Tip)
90

Iayze would actually standout if most of his music sounded like this

Hideki Okugawa - Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike "Fight for the Future" Original Soundtrack
85

On release 3rd strike kinda flopped and was quickly dismissed by street fighter fans, but now its considered one of the greatest fighting games of all time by the majority of the fighting game community (Mostly abbreviated as the "FGC").
It was due to the legendary "Evo moment 37" that made lots of people revisit this game and give it the second chance it deserved. One of the many praises for the game is its sublime soundtrack that has aged excellently over 20+ years. The ... read more

Thouxanbanfauni - Time Of My Life
89

A few months ago I decided to get into Thouxanbanfauni's music and decided to listen to "Clairvoyance" in full and a bit of "Time of My Life". While I felt like Fauni's performances on Clairvoyance was kinda underwhelming and boring, I adored the first set of songs I had listened to of TOML and kept coming back to them for months without even listening to the album in full once during that timeframe. Now that I have listened to the full album for once, I can tell you with ... read more

Central Cee - Wild West
76

Wild west is a typical uk drill album filled with catchy bangers over fun and less darker drill production. Most of the tracks on here follow the simple formula of 3 choruses with 2 verses in between. While this is a basic formula, Central Cee did an excellent job of keeping his listeners engaged. His voice and flow captivates you immediately. All the hooks on here are very catchy and memorable. The verses here are engaging with central cee fun flow and vocal switches. The lyrics and subject ... read more

Hi-C - High the lon35tarr mixtape 2016-2017
100

High The Lonestarrr is a very interesting cloud rap mixtape. On the surface the songs on here are just your typical soundcloud rap tracks filled with fun flows and catchy melodies. Compared to its contemporaries the true beaty of the tape is the odd mixing and production. Taking a page from SGP's "Blackland Radio 66.6" and expanding on it High The Lonestarr combines Hi-c's quite soft vocals with lots of very loud sound effects of weird stuff like lottery machines, coughing, thunder ... read more

A$AP Rocky - LIVE.LOVE.A$AP
95

Break out mixtape "LIVE.LOVE.A$AP" from A$ap Rocky is responsible for bringing cloud rap to the forefront of hip hop and also introducing us to one of the most charming and beloved rappers of modern hip hop. It features production from 2 hip hop producers who helped pioneer and develop the cloud rap sound namely Clams Casino and SpaceGhostpurrp. Compare to other cloud rap contemporaries this mixtape got a much more "classic streets, keeping it real" kinda vibe to it since he ... read more

Koopsta Knicca - Da Devil's Playground: Underground Solo
78

Debut studio album from fellow three six mafia member Koopsta Knicca. Its kinda similar to "Underground vol 1 1991-1994" from the hip hop group itself. Both albums feature lots of looping some three six mafia samples as hooks on DJ paul instrumentals with some of these songs not having any verses. If we compare the two "Da Devil's Playground" is less varied but leans heavily on a very dark and devilish horrorcore vibe while still being sorta laidback. The album doesnt stray ... read more
