Till KOD, this was his most tolerable project mostly due to 2face being his best song ever made. However, this drags on. I can never register to this just from how boring it is.
This album is overrated. This is the first thing I think of when someone says overrated. This album is not good at all lol. I can defend my point too. This album has some pretty good production which is basically the 30 points. Lyrically this album is mediocre af to bad (ex. Wet Dreamz). I can't see any person listening to this and thinking it's a classic. Seriously, why do people put him on the pedestal of top 3 of this era? All I see is blandness and nothing ill ever come back to, which is ... read more
Really don't feel this, in the slightest. This is just boring and no lyrical talent is shown.
Weirdly, this is his best project in my humble opinion. It has a more trap sound to it and it works because of that. It's not boring. However, a few songs on here are pretty bland and can be outright trash at times (ex. BRACKETS, ATM, Photograph, 1985). But KOD and The Cut Off are some pretty good demonstrations of skill.
32 Zel is some of Denzels best work ever. Although it declines towards the end, its still fantastic.
Complete flames. This is one of the most amazing demonstrations of a debut in music history.
This album is what convinced me that Denzel is one of the top in the game rn. This is a literal masterpiece and shows how far you can go experimenting in the southern trap sound.
This album reminds me of a Vince album. It's dark and the production is pretty different from modern trap. This album is a short one, and is easy to digest.
This may just be his best work, the features are unpredictable and they all perform well. Tic Tac is a perfect intro to WiFI as a rapper. The hook on Grim PT 2 goes pretty hard. Centerfold is a stand out cut with a lot of features. Joebuddenprobabalythinksicantrap is lyrically WiFi's best track ever. Jackie Chans and 3 Xans are the best for the banger playlist. Overall this is a great tape.
A great version of wifi here. Here, he has mastered his craft and combines catchy flows with pretty well written lyrics. Always come back to this one when im in the mood for him.
OOOFFF. This ones tricky. The production here is much more different than any other WiFi tape. It's much more lyric reliant and lacks the trap production of his other tapes. It's probably his most introspective work with songs like 'Alone Like a Facetat' where WiFi talks about losing his friend, XXXTENTACION. Suicide Note has a catchy hook. Besides that theres not much else about this ep. It's hardly worth coming back for but at the same time borderline good.
IDC THIS PROJECT BANGS ALL THE WAY THROUGH! 25 Lighters and IMVU are bangers and a genius way to start the tape. Genesis is a drug love song and blends lyrical wit and Soundcloud trap perfectly. That can be said about this whole tape
NGL This is top ten worst duo tapes of all time. This is a disappointment.
This isn't complete trash, and thats just it. There is nothing here for anyone. These songs are so generic and bland that they are all not bad or good. They're just a complete snooze fest.
Yeah, this album is not as daring as any other Danny project. He said it himself. This album tho is just, dull. It starts strong then falls off. Shine and Combat are great songs and a nice way to end the album but it doesn't make up for the overall underwhelming rapping and production.
Edit: Another album that grew on me quite a bit. I like the more accessible vibe. I didn't understand that at first. Overall this is a great album and I catch myself listening to this one frequently.
Don't get me wrong, this album is good and a very fun listen, but something is just lacking. The genius behind BTG and JEFFERY are just not present in the first half. Yeah, Cartier Gucci Scarf is top 10 thugger songs and is basically pure form thugger, but the first half of the album is just, generic.
edit: this grew on me a lot. This is thuggers Die Lit like many people have been saying.
