with three great releases within the span of 4 years, the roots had already solidified their spot in the hip hop community with their amazing songwriting and messages

probably my favorite roots album with consistent tracklist and really hard hittings songs on here with black thoughts amazing vocal performances

a very fun jazz rap record to set off the roots epic catalogue officially

wow what a fun atmosphere this album gives off, couldnt understand shit but it was lovely

in my opinion not as bad as everyone says it is, obviously some meh songs but offers some really high points here when it comes to production and catchy choruses, got some great memories with this album

uncle al never fails to impress me with his amazing production style with boldys buttery voice on top, no bad song here

A pretty solid album from vince which portrays his personal struggles growing up, with a lot of groovy mellow beats. With some more upbeat songs. The album left off on a very soothing sound with a softspoken track. But other than that a very nice first listen, however the random 10 second beatswitch on Étouffée stuck out like a sore thumb and felt like it couldve been fine without it

this album creates such a feel good dreamy landscape that makes me want to walk aimlessly into the forest

wow what an experience listening to this, heartfelt and deep, great metaphor usage aswell

like i said with volume alpha, this is just so much beyond minecraft, this is amazing music.

so ahead of its time and probably one of the best pieces of music ive listened to, noone does it like death grips does theyre completely alone at the top of this hill
