Not really good, but also not bad, just right in the middle of average. Cordae does a decent job with his rapping, especially with songs like Saturday Mornings and Shai Afeni, but a lot of these songs just have really below average production and just kinda make the album stagnant. Wouldn't say it's a bad album, just lacks in certain aspects to make this album anything special.
This was my first time listening to ScHoolboy in a long time, and I will say the album started off really strong. Funny Guy was a really nice intro, and Pop had great verses from ScHoolboy and Rico. In the first half there were 2 songs I didn't really like, but besides that of this album had the same vibes of the first had, it would have a much better rating. The second half just took a complete nosedive. Instead of songs that were just boring, there were about 2-3 songs I skipped and only ... read more
Better than 2093, but it's the same old Yeat, decent production but with his below average vocal performance and way too bloated of a track list. He did get some features for this album, but they weren't anything that would make the album better than what it is and overall, it's just a boring listen after the first 5 songs.
I thought Lone was next up, but with time he somehow lost his ear for beats and lost his melodic voice that would give his older songs so much replay value. This album is also way too long, 20 tracks (including the bonuses) and the total time being 1:01 gives this the same struggles ILCK had. No Stylist was 51 minutes for 19 tracks and Broken Hearts was 16 tracks for 36 minutes and those are his best 2 albums. Sad to see Lone fall off and I don't really think he will ever make the music he ... read more
Ian somehow makes a 13 song 30-minute album sound like an eternity with absolutely no ounce of passion in this thing and the same song over and over again. He couldn't even get Sosa to drop a good verse on this which shows something
Haven't listened to a Clairo album in a long time, but I'm glad I gave this album a shot. I do like this album, as there is a good number of songs I enjoyed like Nomad, Thank You, and Glory of the Snow. There are some things that prevent this album from getting a higher rating though, as I think a lot of the songs follow the same structure that I didn't really enjoy. I liked it when she took a new route and used a different style of production on this. If she did this on her next ... read more
Some hidden gems on this, but 20 tracks of a Gunna album is not something I want. Most of the songs are very similar to each other and no real beat versatility, which Gunna has shown he can do with WUNNA, makes this a pretty mind-numbing experience. Kind of reminds me of WSDTY as the songs aren't necessarily bad but nothing I would come back to.
This is the definition of a force dropped album as most of the songs on feel like they are half baked and are really repetitive. I also see this album as a cash grab as she immediately dropped a 2nd part of the album with 15 more songs and adding an extra hour which this album did not need at all. Hope Taylor takes her time with her next album because she is genuinely a good artist when she puts effort into her albums, but this was not a good look for her.
Solid album with some great peaks but some low lows. Songs like Attention, Ciao!, and No Thank You show some of the best qualities of Bryson. Although it is a pretty top-heavy album, there are only 2 or 3 songs that I would bad, and with the peaks of the album I think these get canceled out.
Album tried to sound like a HNDRXX 2 while kinda falling flat on the idea. Only real song I come back on the first disc is This Sunday and sometimes Red Leather. Besides this however, I wouldn't say the first disc is bad, as many of the songs are listenable, I just think it the songs should've been fleshed out more. I will say the 2nd disc makes this album better as it follows a Monster type vibe at a better degree than then 1st disc with the HNDRXX vibe. Songs like Streets Made Me A ... read more
Mach does what he does best while making it more accessible to people that have never heard of him. would say this is the best pure rapping of the year, as besides the intro, Mach goes deep into every song especially with songs like SAME 24 and ANTONOMASIA. The features also did their thing on their respective verses. Very good album
Just flat out corny is all I can say, close to nothing on this is redeemable besides Burn I guess which is the only reason this didn't get a lower rating
Just sad to listen to LMAO especially when hearing the V1 versions of the songs and seeing how he made songs even worse.
