It definitely isn't like the usual experimental stuff Radiohead is known for but it doesn't mean it's bad. Matter fact, it's an amazing album due to its raw emotion and just iconic rock production. And I just don't get why some songs get more love than others that actually deserve it. Like Sulk - I loved its emotional and vocal performances; there's also (Nice Dream) and Bullet Proof ... I Wish I Was and Planet Telex. Like the most popular tracks are nice but they ... read more
My experience with this album was expected but also surprising because yes, it's a typical metal album but there definitely is some great metaphors and writing used throughout the album. And it's a bit funny but my favorite song off this album is the one that stands out completely: Diamant. I dunno, I just think it's very pleasant, calm and nice. And Till's voice is iconic for his gravelly vocals but also at times it's beautiful. Do I find myself relistening to this? ... read more
People hype this shit up just like how British people hype up their chocolate but my God, is this boring. I like some production on the tracks but his delivery is so confusing. It's like he doesn't make music for sleeping yet most of his songs made me yawn. like wtf? And the songs that are rated highly don't deserve that like Marvins Room...That song has to be the most basic, minimalistic and boring Drake song that I've heard for now
However it isn't all fuck ups for ... read more
Yes, I get that this album is sexual and at times predatory...But fuck it, I LOVE THIS ALBUM! It just has those beautiful elements that remind me of Ants From Up There, the sort of Latin tinge that's nice for my ears, the jazz-rock that is sometimes reminiscent of the Maruja debut. It's just great, even if the theme of it is a bit fucked!
This is really a great album and when I say it, I mean it. Jay-Z really is an amazing rapper and artist if this is his debut album: bars, amazing production, luxurious atmosphere and sometimes just some emotion like in Dead Presidents II and Regrets. btw, yeah, I love Regrets a lot because not only the production is nice for the ears but I just love when rappers talk about their personal lives. It just gives us a clearer image on who they are, despite Hov on the cover looking hella ... read more
I would rather be in the upper floor of the North Tower at 8:46 A.M. in September 11th, 2001 than listen to this ever again
The Blueprint really is a blueprint for other rappers who also wanna make a good rap album. Especially the section on The Ruler's Back where Hov raps about how to sound like him, to take inspiration from one of the greats. Plus, it's very enjoyable and this album has probably one of the best Eminem rapping performances: no speed rapping, no unnecessary edginess, just pure lyricism and bars. And I kinda liked how natural Eminem sounded
Is it a hot take that I didn't enjoy this album as much as others did? bc I love the experimentation and the retaining atmospheres of the melodies, sometimes reminiscent of ATLiens but it's that it sometimes is too much. Don't get me wrong: the production's great, some of the songs are iconic, the rapping by both Big Boi and André 3000 and the charisma and humor really adds to the experience. But I dunno, I just felt a bit let down and it makes me think this album ... read more
I like that this is the first OutKast album that I’ve heard cus not only it shows off André’s and BigBoi’s rapping skills but also their ability to fit onto any track. Plus, I love how the whole album feels so space-like, fitting the name and the cover of this album. also, if anyone give amazing albums like these a low score, I pray every night for you to burn in hell
Since summer just began and on my album list was this album, I enjoyed it. It's just a very very amazing summer album with hits, some of the best rapping by Tyler, amazing production and just overall chill vibes
If only I could express how much I love this deluxe album. The original is very great but the deluxe just adds amazing songs that makes the album feel more complete
"The best albums come from vulnerability". This is very reflective in some of Chance's songs like The Highs & The Lows and Speed Of Love but this is still the first Chance album that I've heard so I can't say it's his best. It still is, despite some misses, very introspective and really brought Chance back to the spotlight ever since the tragedy that froze his career. That and the divorce
Some people like to say this album is about the divorce but while it ... read more
It's great to see Kanye finally, FINALLY go back to normal and make amazing songs again. But something feels...Off. Maybe it's the rumors that Kanye might've used AI in some tracks, despite saying "NO AI". But it's not that. Even in some of the best songs he feels soulless, like he lost his charm. Lost his true self. Of course he has time to rethink his choices, become a better person and let the Kanye we love come back but as of now, it's obvious he's ... read more
I don't get why people call this Kanye's worst album. jk, I do: it's hella unfinished, unpolished and I hate that this is the Donda sequel. Donda was an amazing tribute to his mom Donda West (rip), leaving it without swear words, lots of beautiful songs about God etc. This...This just feels way too rushed and at times disrespectful. But this isn't Kanye's worst album bc it has more good songs than any of the VULTURES albums. Still, third worst album of his
Yeah, I...I gotta give it to Ty for doing ts bc his vocals are amazing but...Kanye...What in the actual fuck was going through your mind? This is a much worse attempt and a fail at trying to sometimes make bangers, dance-hits or emotional tracks. Basically Honestly, Nevermind but if it was antisemitic and way too sexual. Looking at the tags, it is apathetic, it does lack emotion in most of this tracklist. But also it's just pathetic
The year was 2021: Kanye dropped Donda which, like its predecessor JESUS IS KING, was very safe and Christian. Vain at times but still very beautiful and still retaining the hip-hop of Kanye
Fast forward 3 years later we get the opposite of Donda: oversexual lyrics, antisemitism, weak performances and just nothing beautiful about this dumpster of an album.
It's very sad to see Kanye, one of the most talented artists in history, dropping such of a disappointing project which is, like the ... read more
Definitely a better Christian Hip Hop album than JESUS IS KING bc it feels more like Kanye but also still being Christian in a rather unique way: there are hits, songs that don't sound Christian (take Off The Grid and Praise God) and absolutely beautiful masterpieces like Jesus Lord, 24, Moon and Hurricane. However, my problem with this album is...It's way too long. There's just too much filler that's quite unnecessary and why are there 4 songs that are just Pt. 2? Did we ... read more
It's a nice attempt at Christian music and sort of a short lived chapter for Kanye but like most of the religious music, it lacks sauce, let's put it that way. It feels very empty, cliche and boring
I mean, it's very pleasant. I like how the beats and the atmosphere of the songs feels like how the cover looks: just grand, vibrant, mysterious and good feeling. Just wish this album would probably have 2-3 more tracks since it does feel very short
Again, it's a first listen...But I really feel like if I ever come back to this album, I'll like it more. But now it's kinda vain
