Distorted Sound
This isn’t a dramatic return because they haven’t put out a studio release in ten years, this is a dramatic return because it is Rammstein, controversial as ever.

Sputnikmusic

After a 10-year studio silence, Rammstein have returned with elegance and grace over shock value.

Consequence of Sound

There is a key focus on melody amid the grandeur and forcefulness of the music, along with thought-provoking lyrics that deal with pain, passion, controversy, and sensuality.

AllMusic
After all these years together, it's a wonder that Rammstein continue to improve while still retaining the hunger and passion that has helped them amass a devoted following across the globe.

NME

A resounding triumph, Rammstein's first album in a decade finds them as unique and unstoppable as ever, tethered to originality and provocation.

Exclaim!
This album is a welcome addition to Rammstein's discography and one that will be chanted with equal fervour when they come to a city near you.

Clash

Rammstein are back, reigniting that old fire, swooping us up in their latest journey. And we sure as hell are happy to ride along.

Kerrang!
This is a record made with care, craft, and nothing allowed in that isn’t just-so.

Spill Magazine
Though this is not the best album that Rammstein has released, it certainly ranks up there with their greatest hits.

Even without a translation, the way Lindemann sings in German with rolled R’s and growls over a big drumbeat is enough to make your skin crawl. Then again, nobody listens to Rammstein for the lyrics.

The Needle Drop

Rammstein's first studio album in 10 years falls apart after a promising first leg.

A very strong comeback album from my favorite German metal outfit. At time a little more electro industrial and goth, Rammstein pull theough with a viseral album that may not have the ruthless consistency of their greatest works but makes for an exciting return.

EDIT: FANTASTIC

This album just continues to grow on me. Every track is just so good man

GREAT

This is Rammstein's best album since 2005. Every single song brings the Rammstein sound to the table in full force, while including some surprising twists and turns along the way (didn't expect AUSLÄNDER to be a pop rock song, but hey, it works). DEUTSCHLAND and ZEIG DICH are fantastic songs, while the one-two punch of TATTOO and HALLOMANN is a great way to close out the record. The vocals are ... read more

Fun and interesting, although some songs touch on German history, it still sounds fun and of course the best song will remain Deutschland in my opinion. And there are also more interesting albums than this one, although this one may be Mutter favorite.

I was nervous when I heard of the "comeback" but oh so very relived that they stuck to their sound and what they're good at.
