RAMMSTEIN have forged a storied career of throwing predictability and caution out of the nearest window and Zeit could well be their boldest endeavour yet.
Stately and almost elegant, Zeit is a haunted, pensive work that faces life's inevitabilities with an appropriate rage, heart, and sense of humor that only Rammstein can deliver.
This is unmistakably a record from the provocative German band, but it’s also unlike anything we’ve heard from them before.
Rammstein in 2022 can still singe your face with the full force of their attack, but on Zeit they prove more than ever that they aren’t afraid to peel away their layers, lay bare their fears and show you their scars.
This introspective, incendiary, searingly intelligent set of songs finds them as emotionally invested as they’ve ever been.
Zeit is imperfect, but there’s so much to be savoured here, and aspects you won’t get from any other Rammstein album.
We know what to expect from this band, and on "Zeit" we get a generous and diverse helping of the good stuff.
It feels like a collection of songs deliberately built to soundtrack a future series of spectacular live set-pieces.
The Gothic, operatic metallers deliver hook after hook on an album so streamlined and efficient you can almost hear the pyro cues.
The disappointment is real.
Rammstein's new record "zeit" is by no meants bad or awful at all. It still has a few good and enjoyable tracks here and there. but the mediocrity of the rest of the project, the painfully average instrumentation and the generic and repetitive vocal performance ( All of the songs literally sounded the same) overshadow those good moments

Rammstein's latest album may not be their most consistent album in their catalog, the band is still on top of their game and makes some of the most well written industrial metal currently, if you look past the few songs that go over board on the shocking value of explicit lyrics about sex. I am glad to see the band continuing to build upon their sound even if occasionally it doesn't pan out. Overall, good late career album.
Not reinventing the wheel, but if the wheel is well oiled and working fine there's no need to right
Definitely mirrors Reise, Reise and Rosenrot with the previous album being such a massive highlight, then this which feels like leftovers with some bangers mixed in. even the album cover kinda mirrors rosenrot in feeling.
It's Rammstein, if you like them you'll like this. It's music made for gigantic stadiums and flamethrowers, but if you're not in a position where you can see them on tour and ... read more
Albums A-Z album #27
Final one
Even with my admittedly little Rammstein knowledge I can tell that this just isnt it for them. Zeit has this weird sound where they've tried softer sound like pianos and shit. This just doesnt work for them I fear. Rammstein is just not the band for this considering how a huge chunk of their fans dont speak german and their writing here just isnt good.
This metal album just doesnt feel metal and IT DIDNT NEED AUTOTUNE HE SOUND LIKE YEAT ffs.
Kinda hard to ... read more
This is an incredible album! It has great production and also sound insane in Dolby Atmos. The instruments are so well recorded. The vocals are not really my thing. Lyrics-wise, the songs are incredibly iconic but I can't really relate to the sexual aspects of it. Nonetheless I really love the non-sex ones. I really like "Meine Tränen" partly because of the sad lyrics. I also really love the autotune used in "Lügen", makes it stand out. This album has a great ... read more
