King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava
87

Absolutely blew me away
Learning about the improvision on here makes it even crazier
King gizzy are def at their best when they are doing jazzier styles

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
74

Very excited to see this and I am pretty disappointed even tho I like it quite a bit I’m just not a fan of the more hype style he’s been trying and the more introspective songs are quite boring.
I could go more in depth in the review but I simply don’t feel like it right now

Ka - Descendants of Cain
70

The lyrical content absolutely carry’s ka.
His music is all starting the sound the same to me and the production isn’t as good as his 2 previous projects

Bladee - 333
70

75->70
Album makes me feel happy and warm inside but not as fun or catchy as his other releases
Bladee started going in a more pop direction with Exeter and he does that sound better and this was just a taste of what was yet to come

Bladee & Mechatok - Good Luck
27

65->27
Only positive is it sometimes can be catchy

Thaiboy Digital - Trash Island
50

70->50
Not anything special in any of the members discogs and while I like the atmosphere of most the music the vocals are all pretty bad except for eccos parts

Bladee - EXETER
84

75->84
My life has absolutely been changed for the better after relistening to this for the first time in 3 years
Every single song except the intro are great
The instrumentals are absolutely amazing and so lush and beautiful honestly
His vocals can be hard to get into to on songs like imaginary but it fits this otherworldly theme and the 2 Ecco2k features are just incredible

Young Nudy - Sli'merre 2
40

Devoid of emotion, lazy, empty, repetitive
Every song starts to sound the same at a certain point
Pierre used to be so good but these beats are uninspired and sound like a crappy Pierre type beat on YouTube
Some of the laziest rapping Nudy has ever done
Feels like this was purely made so they could say they made a second slimerre for the fans
I’ve wanted this to happen since the first one came out in 2019 but knowing what it became I regret ever having an interest in the ... read more

Machine Girl - WLFGRL
77

This album is awesome
Not particularly my style of music but it’s super solid and it’s super creative and you can tell the talent the artist has the drumming on songs like hidden power is a highlight for me

Denzel Curry - KING OF THE MISCHIEVOUS SOUTH
84

I had forgot every song but what 2 sounded like so I was scared this would grow off of me but I love it as much as I remember loving it and the extra 5 songs are great aswell but not as solid as the songs in the original tracklist

87->84

Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane
75

I fw this but I don’t think I’ll ever get fully behind the vocals which is the most important part of this type of music to me but the instrumentals were top notch creative and entertaining I didn’t feel bored in the slightest

Drake - So Far Gone
73

69->73
There was a couple songs I didn’t remember I ended up liking a lot more this time around
Drake had a nice flow but never was super lyrically talented but I know he improves for his next couple releases
Some good catchy stuff on here tho

Bladee - Red Light
40

57->40
Everything about this is a downgrade from his previous work
I had not listened to this album in 3 years and I was hoping I would love it like many bladee fans do but I lowered my original score
The vocals are actually not annoying like his vocals can be sometimes in his earlier work but are extremely muddy in the backround and he can barely be heard
The beats on the other hand are 90% lazier and not as good as the production from previous albums and it just ends up being a boring ... read more

Ween - The Mollusk
85

83->85
A band that has evolved so much from where they started you can’t help but feel proud of this creative and artistic growth into such a beautifully crafted album structurally and thematically

LUCKI - Body High
60

70->60
I feel like this album is a more consistent version of alternative trap but doesn’t have as many highlights as alternative trap also this has better beats

LUCKI - Alternative Trap
60

68->60
I’ll never understand the love this project gets
I’ve been a Lucki fan for a while now always returning to this project hoping one day it’ll click like it does for others but I simply leave unsatisfied every time
The shreds of good lyricism are not enough to pull me in when although it’s different his lyrics are just as good in his 2017-2020 run
The beats here are either okay at best or amazing

Speaker Knockerz - Married to the Money II #MTTM2
38

Annoying beats and some of the worst features I’ve ever heard speaker Knockerz parts were normally pretty good but even then it could be inconsistent at times

Speaker Knockerz - Finesse Father
58

While not bad it had to live up to married to the money which it couldn’t at all

Speaker Knockerz - Married to the Money
79

Really good project from speaker Knockerz
I had been very interested in checking out his music for some time now and I am not dissapointed
Not too much substance here besides the Rico story’s which I don’t love but the other tracks are super fun trap music

Karms - Flowers Bloom In A Dark Room
81

Pleasantly surprised by this album I got from a recommendation from a friend of mine
This guy rides the beats super well and I’m happy to see a small artist making a nicely condensed album that doesn’t overstay its welcome with good meaningful music

On Sickboyrari - Sahel Dreamz
"@TheCartoon the first 4, let me know and can I gaal yu don’t sound like anything else he’s done really The other songs could fit on his last 2 projects easily and I already feel those albums were a move in the wrong direction being pretty generic compared to what he’s capable of which he starts to show on here again for the first time since euro glime (not a huge fan of euro glime anyways but that project was unique)"
On 久石譲 [Joe Hisaishi] - 千と千尋の神隠し [Spirited Away Soundtrack]
"@recordmusic18 the soundtrack perfectly fits the movie and I wouldn’t want a different soundtrack for such a perfect movie but on its own when treated like a normal album of music it’s not great Like the ost for the video game like a dragon kenzan it’s a bad album on its own but the feudal Japan setting fits perfect for the style of music"
On Edward Skeletrix - Museum Music
"@bloxbusters what I mean is that I don’t feel like he sat down and made music casually and it popped out like this I feel like he’s creating music with the purpose of it being experimentation which works cool with the art of it but musically I prefer that to feel like a natural part of the artist process"
