listened to this for the first time after learning to appreciate death grips. yes, I have rewritten the lyrics to black skinhead for myself to sing lmao
your honor, its peak. this album literally makes you live in wallsocket for an hour or so, and come out perplexed on how you teleported home. the extra tracks add so much, and christ I cant wait for April's next album.
while toxicity is the best soad critically, mesmerize is the band at their best. best lyrics, best instrumentation(like holy fuck the intro to Question is the best intro to a song I've ever heard) and also just a bit of goofy mixed in. My favorite soad album, and one of the greatest of all time.
I am seen. this album looks me in the face and tells me what I need to hear. I wanna live, I don't wanna die.
improvement is what makes a new album worth listening to, and jvb deliver here. in particular, brae's lyricism is noticably better, with joey's production being better than ever before. better than punk tactics, better than no hands. that's what's the most important.[its 1 am gimme a break]
I legitimately do not mind this. not a very good album, by any means, but id argue its better that this section makes it out to be. listened to this a lot a few years ago, and even today, I can find myself singing along to a ton of these songs. basically, an okay album that is unfairly hated.
holy shit Calder carries so hard on this. I love Freddie, but hearing Calder get this sort of opportunity is so nice. Everything works, and its beautiful!!!!
GodHand does it again with ANOTHER tape, the 4th one in under a year. And its good! Fony Wallace cooks on the beats, and "She giving head same time every day, probably why they call that shit a blowjob" is one of my favorite no context bars rn. Thanks for another good tape!
yooooo 1000th review
amazing rap album. Absolutely bangers from end to end from many different influences. Of course the obvious ones in Beastie Boys, but there is even some things like breakcore sprinkled in. Anyways, big love to these boys, and cant wait to see what they do next
Clear inspiration from Overdose by natori, but really good still. Kobo is making better music than most other Holo talents, and it really shows. I really enjoy the heavy bass, which again was clearly inspired by Overdose, but yea, fun song
Edit:Godfuck I'm oblivious, natori literally fucking composed it
wow. this is amazing. It lacks a tiny bit of personality, but everything else is there and works well. moomers has made a really good song.
maybe a bit generic, but really fun, especially miku :)
some of the notes miku hits are really really nice.
really solid first project. as our lord and savior brad has said, this is a lot of dicking around, but imo, that brings it a lot of personality. Every song here feels like it fits with where mori was at that time and where she is now, with reaper(ka)rapper leading to cringecore on her sinderella album, and live again leading to her more sing heavy songs like left for dead lullaby off jigoku 6, etc. very fun and respectable ep with no major flaws.
damn this hits. only miss on here is future island which should have just been a single anyway. every other song is a 90+ for me. Im still fucking exhausted
psycho is brilliant, i like mess, boom is fine, and drown is generic. im very tire rn.
It is listenable. I do not hate it. I do not love it. The personality that was on Psycho feels kinda gone. it it the epitome of vtuber music. which means half of it will eventually end up on my playlist. good night tri state area.
Edit:Fuck I see what Brad and paruko mean. This has gotten so much worse the more I've listened to it. I wish it was good, but its not.
