This album is insane. Never thought that ambient and metal would go so well together. I really like the riffs on this. I like that not every song is just a metalcore/djent song, like Heavy Is The Head is black metal meanwhile Two-Way Mirror is shoegaze. I guess dynamic would be the best way to describe it. I do really like the more metalcore-y songs tho. The vocals are also really good. I prefer the screamed parts but the clean vocals are nice too.

67 score is diabolical. Idk if I'm just a glazer but I still really like this album. The production is a little weird but otherwise it's really good. Much better title track than Ohms too, that guitar is so tough. I think there are too many effects on Chino's microphone tho. It would be a lot better if it was more raw. Sometimes it sounds like he's been put in another room than the rest of the track, kinda like he's singing from outside the studio.
We're so back!!!
This album is so beautiful. I also feel like Chino really likes these songs. He often sounds like he's having a lot of fun while singing. Some of his most wonderful vocal performances, like cut hands and metal dream. I think it feels like more of a shoegaze album than what they've done in the past, but they still do it really well. It probably helps that I like shoegaze tho. I heard that Chino did most of the guitars on this one and i guess it shows. Much more ... read more
Not sure how to feel about this one honestly. It has some insane heaters like Headless and The Spell of Mathematics but some of the songs drag on a bit too much. I also don't really get the hype around the title track. The 2 songs before it are both waaaay better. That main riff in Ohms kinda sucks. I do appreciate that the synths and such are more central to the songs on this one. Really nice for the atmosphere.
