I started listening to Afterbirth by listening to this very demo.
All you need to know is:
1-Matt Duncan (may he rest in peace) has one of the best gutturals in bdm.
2-The riffs are like slam riffs, very brutal yet so rhythmaticly beautiful.
3-And the drums, don't let me get started on them...
4-The bass is beautifully raw and fantastic.
5-The raw production makes it as great as it can be
What can I say about Incantation which has not been said? Well they're great at adding doom elements to their style? What? Oh yeah that has been said before.
They're one of the best acts at the death metal scene and they still got what it has to release great stuff.
I mean there's nothing wrong with this album...
Evil vocals? Yes.
Heavy guitars? Yes.
Lyrics about occultism and gore? Yes and yes.
No band sounds like Incantation and no album sounds like Onward to Golgotha.
One of the best out of NYDM scene.
Acid bath is talented, it's unique, it's beautiful and evil at the same time.
We all know inquisition, evil riffs and vocals which are like a satanic chant. This record is their finest, it's the most evil and the most enjoyable recording for me.
It's raw and primitive black metal.
The riffs are punky and evil and the production is good enough.
Great listen.
The presence of a real drum. Don't get me wrong I love the drum machine on other albums but this is actually great too.
Here we are, Profanatica the unholy USBM.
The riffs are gruesome, Paul is killing it on drums and vocals.
As unholy as always, as great as always.
Graveland's most innovative work, it's evil and raw. It's among some of the finest black metal releases.
Ok, the production is not great but still pretty good for a black metal release.
Here comes the most blasphemous band on planet, the unholy Profanatica.
Black and evil tremolo riffs is all you need to here from this album
The peak of brutal death metal, the finest it has ever been, as brutal as it could get
A great debut by the gods of brutal death metal.
It's raw, it's heavy and it's brutal.
Matti way did hell of a job on vocals.
Great USBM influenced by traditional heavy metal.
We all love GBK. Why? Well the short answer is the great riffs.
Gelal's riffs are hooky and beautiful, he is a great musician and a great composer.
Another thing I love about this release is the vocals, they're evil and great for this unholy record.
They're known for their technical parts that has been influenced by suffocation and deeds of flesh, and their slam sides that has been influenced by bands like devourment and this record is as good as it gets, they have gotten better at both and showing us a brutal music.
You can't name a DS album without killing vocals, extraordinary drums and crushing guitar riffs and this record is no exception.
The second LP by the God's of german brutal death metal is as good as it gets, it's brutal and technical.
My favourite Mortician's release, it's brutal and it's heavy.
The grindcore influence is pretty visible and you can call it brutal deathgrind.
This grinding death metal is as formulatic as it can get but still a fun 28 songs, 49 minutes listen
It's fun, it's brutal.
Mortician's debut isn't exactly technical (none of their releases are) but it's still brutal as always
I VOMIT ON GOD'S CHILD!!!
It's dirty, it's raw, it's blasphemous and it's everything black metal should be.
From the moment you start to listen to this masterpiece, something motivates you to look for more. Is it because it's enjoyable? Well I don't think so... It's actually your anger, your hate and your desire for darkness.
Paul Ledney is trully a hate filled musician (as you can see through all his projects) and no one can do it better than him.
It's black metal, it's hate forest!
It can be described in 4 words: hate, cold, brutality and darkness
