this album is a huge step up in quality from frailty, especially in the songwriting department, i was honestly impressed by how much the lyrics were just straight up insane at some points
her voice also sounds a lot better here, idk what happened between the two albums but it just feels more natural and better for the slower, sadder stuff than the more upbeat stuff on frailty

this album is like how all the twitter nerds describe the lamb as effigy. its completely style over substance. jane spends too much time incorporating different elements of what makes music great while forgetting to make actual good music. no songs really stuck out at all. album is also too long even though its less than an hour it feels much longer because its really just background music with no substance at all. there are a ton of good ideas here, but they are all merely ideas that havent ... read more
