Some classic songs, some great moments. There are a couple of weaker tracks for sure, but definitely more good than bad
It’s fine, with some cool beats, but nothing that’ll make me want to hear it again.
Don’s best by a country mile. Amazing production throughout, great vocals and his best rapping performances of his career too. Amazing cast of features also, everyone does their job to perfection. And don’t even get me started on the impeccable bonus tracks
It’s fine. Bonuses help the rating a little but the majority of these tracks are so so so forgettable. At least “Go Down”, “No Pole” and “If I Had” are here.
A minor step back from the high energy “Donny Womack”, too much of this album is painfully flat. Disappointing final product from someone who can definitely do better.
There’s a noticeable second half decline in quality, but when he’s on, some of these tracks feel like essential Don Toliver listening. Particularly “Backend” that song is incredible.
An album right up my alley, full of beautifully crafted beats and expert bars from one of the genre’s very best.
As someone who normally loves his music, what is this man????!!! Some of the beats, particularly on the outro are solid, but it’s Spitta on autopilot, the flows don’t fit, the bars are lazy. I expected much better to be honest.
IDK can definitely rap, that’s without question. However, this tape is a disjointed, mish-mash of ideas, and the vast majority of them simply don’t come off. On an album where DOOM and DMX are utilised as caricatures of themselves for a gimmick, Joey Valance and Brae are unsurprisingly still the worst part. There’s lots of cool beats here from a star-studded cast of producers, but, more often than not, IDK struggles to match their excellence.
There is a haunting beauty to this project. An indescribable, foreboding ambience that seeps into your bones as the tracks go by, and lingers with you long after the final note sounds.
Higher highs than the first album but definitely more inconsistent and slightly worse overall
This thing is so damn messy. But when he’s on, he’s really, really on. Definitely my favourite production on any of his projects thus far too.
Starts off pretty solid, and there are some great moments scattered throughout. But I just felt like a lot of the tracks were very samey, and the sound got tiring quite quickly
